every time I listen to this song I can't hold back the emotion. It enters me, it always touches the same string from the first time I listened to it at the end of the magnificent Milos Forman film. It is a song of freedom, equality, youth, and friendship, full of energy and hope. These guys are also very good!
This song represents my generation. I remember where it came from where the musical came from and how we all felt at the time. The first time I heard it it was by the fifth dimension. It brought tears to my eyes then and it still does.
I long for a world that never needs this amazing song anymore. Sadly I know that will never happen. Luckily, we will always have this masterpiece for our darkest days.
That's just it... it ISNT positive, it's a PLEA...PLEASE let the sun shine in, and it's every bit as valid ad it was In THIS performance and in 1968... we have to ACT and BRING back that positivity or else every achievement of the last half century (& longer) will be CRUSHED.
