    Awhh thank you for this! As a woman solo training for triathlon and is still clueless with gears and is on a cautious budget, your tutorial helped big time.

    Very helpful video - however, I don't think Zwift can detect many second hand Polar heart rate monitors. They may have changed to Bluetooth recently (2019?), but previous models use a proprietary ("coded") signal. I have 5 Polar HRMs, none of which I can use with anything except a Polar watch. Zwift's site says they can detect any HRM that uses ANT+ or Bluetooth.

    Thanks so much for this. I’ve found a trainer at my local camping superstore called fluid but I can’t see it on zwift and was thinking that I couldn’t use it, but I’ll buy it and give it a crack awesome no BS video👍

      Glad I could help, it should work but power reading might be a bit out. still better than grinding on your own though

    brilliant video, I've been searching for about an hour, but does this work with tacx motion? like, a not clever turbo trainer? great video again, waiting for the answer!!

    Good video! I have one question, i don’t get how zwift would know in what resistance the trainer is in. Because you could be in the lightest resistance compared to a heavier one with the same cadence, but obviously the wattage would differ.

    • @Scottslookingabout
      @Scottslookingabout 2 роки тому

      zwift determines the resistance when you stop pedaling and the time the wheel free spins to a stop in the setup steps. values like wheel size are faked in setup.

    Nice info, thanks a lot! Do you have a powermeter? Or the App just take the data with the speed and cadence sensors? Thanks again! Very helpful!

    How are you getting your power readings?

    • @bikedave2545
      @bikedave2545  4 роки тому

      if you use one of the zwift calibrated turbo trainers then it estimates your power from what zwift knows about your turbo combined with your cadence and speed

      you'll find it a bit more pricey of you don't have a bike, so find a bike that fits your turbo trainer

    What do you mean that you got the turbo trainer for free? Where? How are we supposed to get one for free so that we can compete you since you said at the end of your video that if we will find any cheaper setup we should let you know??? : ppppppppppp

    I don't get it. You pay every month 15 dollar and every year 180 dollar for the zwift app. How can you not afford or save money for an better set up?
