Also, as people are looking at these items, they might be able to find some Black Friday deals. (Wahoo stuff for example) Great video!!! I think it’ll help a lot of people. 👌
Samsung phone with DeX connects wireless zwift , rouvy, rgt to a big screen TV. And you still are able to use zwift companion app and discord on same phone
Correction to the Zwift HUB price. It's $499 not $400 as I said in the video. Also, seems to be back in stock. And for all the Black Friday deals, check out SMARTBikeTrainers.com Deals page here: www.smartbiketrainers.com/deals
I wonder how much of a difference in the experience of the ride you get between the snap, and the $1200 model they make. Will the snap feel cheap and unsatisfying? Never used these trainers before.
Some good deals on the V5 Kickr now that the V6 is out. I’ve also seen the Neo 2 SE very cheap on some Black Friday deals - £600 at Chain Reaction in the UK. Kickr Core is £599 at Sigma Sport.
I personally just use my regular road and TT bike. If you are looking to get a dedicated bike to use only indoors, I would consider looking into a stationary bike like Stages SB20 or a Kickr bike.
Hi - so off topic. I’ve searched online and on youtube about the flames from bike wheels in races on Zwift. The only article I found was zwiftinsider from 2019. I had never noticed any flames until recently after taking the summer off. HOW DO WE MAKE FLAMES?!
@@SmartBikeTrainers Thanks for the reply! And between the Elite tuo and the Wahoo Kickr Snap which one would you suggest? Here in Switzerland they are sold at similar prices.
You are not going to go wrong with either one of these. I would go with the one that is easier to get support for if you ever need to return it or get service.
I have the Garmin Rally XC pedals and I’m looking at setting up an indoor studio for Zwift. I was considering the Wahoo Roller but it sounds like a “wheel off “ trainer is better and less expensive?
Correct, a wheel off trainer is the cheaper trainer. Probably not as easy to setup and go as the ROLLR but pretty close. Also, the one thing you need to keep in mind is the ROLLR will need to pair your Garmin pedals and will use that as the source of data. Where, a wheel on trainer will measure and use its own power which you might find to be off by a certain percentage from your Rally pedals. The kickr snap does have a function that is similar to the ROLLR that will allow you to use your power meter as the source of data.
I have the Apple TV 4k but not the 2022 version. It’s important to note that if you don’t also have a 4k TV, you won’t see the full screen. I have a Haier tv that is 720p so the entire perimeter of the Zwift screen is cut off. So elevation % is almost completely cut off. I’ll be buying a better tv or computer monitor soon.
You will need some good video card to run Zwift in 4K. I would go with a minimum Nvidia 1650 or higher with a strong CPU like the intel core i3 or better.
I would suggest the elite suito trainer which have adjustable feet. That feature helped me to set up the trainer flat on my home made rocker plate. Additionally, for the table i have used 2 ikea lack side tables (8 euro each on offer), which i connected leg to leg and i attached bottle cages on the side.
@@SmartBikeTrainers You are welcome. I would like to also share my solutions for steering and rocker plate. For steering i am using a "twister board" that cost me 10 euro, with antislip tape. For rocket plate i am using an ikea table-top called "melltorp" on two "inflatable balance boards", that cost me 40 euros, again with anstislip tape. Oh, i have an idea for a video! What don't you try to recreate what i am using and compare it with the original thing ?
Great video. Fully explained. Thanks.
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!

I’m using the wahoo snap. Mirroring my iPhone on a 65 inch tv for immersion. Love it.
Nice… how is the iPhone mirroring going for you? Does it stutter or disconnect at times?
@@SmartBikeTrainers I have zero problems. Very reliable.

@@blastofo I really like the feel. But I haven’t tried the other.
Zwift, stages sb20, fan, apple tv, amazon mats. Need to get table, again thanks.
What was that platform that the Saris H3 was mounted to?
That’s the Saris MP1 platform

What would you look out for when getting a dedicated indoor bike, to go with a direct drive trainer?
I personally just use my regular road and TT bike. If you are looking to get a dedicated bike to use only indoors, I would consider looking into a stationary bike like Stages SB20 or a Kickr bike.
When using Appel tv do you need A HDMI cable ?
Yes you do need one to connect the Apple TV device to your TV.
I have a rubbish bike.. a btwin triban 3…. Will I still get a good session?

Level 50 and above riders will unlock flame socks. If you wear them, and put out 150% of your ftp, you will generate flames for 12 seconds.
Great video! What about the tacx flow smart trainer? I'm considering buying one.
Personally I didn’t test the Tacx Flow but it got decent reviews from others for a budget trainer.

Right… you need an HD 1080p tv at minimum to get the full picture.
Do you need a apple phone to operate the apple TV 4k? as I only have a Samsung android phone Great content again.
No you don’t. But you do need an iTune account to access content on the Apple TV device and App Store.
Thankyou for your response really helpful.
Glad I can help!

HDMI cable from your laptop to your TV goes a long way in Zwift immersion
A good HDMI cable from laptop to a tv works well too 👌🏼
I have a cheap non-smart tv but has a good large display, long hdmi cable and wireless mouse BAM! best budget setup!
Basically $2,000 to start 😂

You forgot ONE essential device. Guess which one...
Hmm, a bike?
If you don’t have a bike, you’re not a cyclist and don’t need indoor cycling equipment
Thanks 😊 🫂 🙏
