I got on with a random person and I was really enjoying it....I thought "this is kinda like pirates or the Caribbean ride at Disneyland,nice and slow, just looking at the things around you". Then out of nowhere some weird voice starts screaming to me about my soul and all of a sudden I start going so fast my head shoots back and I look at the stranger next to me and scream in her face,"DEAR LORD!!!!". The ride stops....I think hey it's over yay. Nope. Now this things drops bugs on me. and starts going so fast backwards. I get off and people are clapping....I guess it was because we survived.

yeah when I went on the mummy ride in 2014 the ride went up high and had no tracks underneath us and we landed back on to the tracks and it had real fire in there and everyone was getting so hot even me!😲

Looks scary but it’s a great and safe ride for anyone who’s wondering. The ride is literally in pitch darkness which gives it that eery and feeling of dread, but it’s perfectly tolerable and quick! it’s one of my faves at Universal Hollywood 🙌
I sort of forced my little brother on this ride because he was absolutely terrified but It ended up being a great experience for him. He overcame his fear of coasters on this ride.

This ride makes me so nostalgic. i remember my first time going on it, which was 9 years ago, and it still gives me chills. The part where it goes, "now your souls belong to me!" and it accelerates u so fast, it is the best feeling in the world. Nice job universal!
Diego Hidalgo I just rode this for the first time today and I literally did just that. I have no clue what happens past the acceleration part cause I kept my eyes closed and head down the whole time.
I didn't realize that before it accelerates, they blast air in your face to trick your mind into thinking it's going faster than it really is. I think the max is like 40-45 MPH. Going to try to keep my eyes open next time. It helps knowing the mechanics of it sometimes. :)

I went on this ride when I was turning 11. I remember not wanting to go on it at all but my mom said I would regret it if I didn’t go on. I was freaking out before the ride so I asked the guy outside the ride if it was scary. He asked me if I wanted it to be scary and I said no. After that he said that it wasn’t scary at all. It seemed a little bit sketchy but I still wanted to try it. I thought it was going to be like a pirates of Caribbean type ride but I was soooooooo wrong. I remember being launched out into complete darkness. I was pooping my pants and crying. After the ride my mom told me I was a disappointment.😂 I would not recommend this ride if you are scared of dark and fast rides. Thanks for reading this!
I hate how parents or adult do this to their kids. This is why a lot of kids a scared of rides or rollercoaster. I was traumatised when I went on my first rollercoaster. Plus childrens stomachs are sensitive so it hurts when you get that stomach feeling as if you're falling.

Universal Studios Hollywood is built on a hill. They don't have much space, and the park is actually near real filming sets, they have to keep the rides as quiet as possible so they don't interrupt potential filming next doors. :)

I remember riding this for the first time, didn't quite know what to expect, going forward was fine but it going backwards put pressure on my neck because of the way I'd positioned myself. I sounded like I was having an exorcism and after the ride said, "I'm never doing that again". Well, five minutes later I was back on it and laughed the whole way through. Rode it about 10 more times after that, loved it. Can't wait to go back on it when I go back to Universal Hollywood next year. It's good fun.
Okay my experience was eh, I left mu glasses in the lockers so I was blind most of the time, By what I barely saw, Lights were flashing everywhere, It was fine before my head was shot back and I felt air on the back of my head(Shot backwards). It was so horrifying that somehow my head met the seatbar, Holding on for dear life. When I got off I was in tears.

I remember being trapped on this ride for about an hour in 2006 after the turntable at the end of the ride failed. Ah...the memories. The suspense was kept high, as I sat wondering if some ride operator had failed to notice our stalled vehicle and sent another one our way to crash into us.
I was around the same age and I loved the mummy movie, so when we were in Universal Orlando, my cousin who worked there tricked me into thinking it wasn't scary. The picture was literally him grinning at the camera while a hid under my dad's shoulder. Lol.

I was amazed by the props and attractions displayed on the walls of the ride, slowly moving forward on a cart with my family next to me. Lights danced across my face as i watched in amusement. The voice of an animation boomed and echoed off the walls of the ride, that's when it happened. All signs of light were turned out and it was completely dark, pitch black. The cart then accelerated at a speed that is unexplained. The only way you could feel what I felt in that moment would to go on the ride yourself. I felt my body being pressed against my seat, it felt like i was going through a time portal, and i couldn't see anything. It was the most terrifying thing i could have experienced but it was also the most exiting. Before I knew it air came pouring out my lungs and screaming filled the air. I was screaming out of fear but it sounded like joy and pure excitement. The feeling of it was something i never felt before. By the time the ride ended, the park closed, but it was the best ending ride ever. Thank you Universal.

I hate how parents or adult do this to their kids. This is why a lot of kids a scared of rides or rollercoaster. I was traumatised when I went on my first rollercoaster. Plus childrens stomachs are sensitive so it hurts when you get that stomach feeling as if you're falling.
My parents are going to force me to go I need help how can I say I don’t want to go on this ride. I rode on this ride since I was 10 and I hated it so much. The speed is so unbearable. I’m 20 right now. Despite my age, this ride is my number 1 do not want to go. I am still scared of it and I hate the ride. @@angelgoku00 i know you have probably heard this a lot but you could maybe try talking to them saying how you really didn’t like it last time.if worse comes to worse you can maybe try saying your stomach hurts and that’s why you don’t want to go on it? even if you are forced to go on it that was ten years ago, you might end up liking it. i wrote this comment a few years ago. this year i went back and loved the ride! i hope this helps!

Universal Studios Hollywood is built on a hill. They don't have much space, and the park is actually near real filming sets, they have to keep the rides as quiet as possible so they don't interrupt potential filming next doors. :)

I remember riding this for the first time, didn't quite know what to expect, going forward was fine but it going backwards put pressure on my neck because of the way I'd positioned myself. I sounded like I was having an exorcism and after the ride said, "I'm never doing that again". Well, five minutes later I was back on it and laughed the whole way through. Rode it about 10 more times after that, loved it. Can't wait to go back on it when I go back to Universal Hollywood next year. It's good fun.

Okay my experience was eh, I left mu glasses in the lockers so I was blind most of the time, By what I barely saw, Lights were flashing everywhere, It was fine before my head was shot back and I felt air on the back of my head(Shot backwards). It was so horrifying that somehow my head met the seatbar, Holding on for dear life. When I got off I was in tears.

Man this gave me roller coaster phobia for a while, it died down now but I’m never going on this again. Bribe me with whatever, but I’m not going on this again. But damn, my heart was racing so fast and I’ve never felt more refreshed when it ended. Like just seeing 4:45 made me feel relaxed.

The Harry Potter ride where it’s 4D and you rode a broom with Harry gave me tons of motion sickness and I felt like I was going to throw up the rest of the day.

I was amazed by the props and attractions displayed on the walls of the ride, slowly moving forward on a cart with my family next to me. Lights danced across my face as i watched in amusement. The voice of an animation boomed and echoed off the walls of the ride, that's when it happened. All signs of light were turned out and it was completely dark, pitch black. The cart then accelerated at a speed that is unexplained. The only way you could feel what I felt in that moment would to go on the ride yourself. I felt my body being pressed against my seat, it felt like i was going through a time portal, and i couldn't see anything. It was the most terrifying thing i could have experienced but it was also the most exiting. Before I knew it air came pouring out my lungs and screaming filled the air. I was screaming out of fear but it sounded like joy and pure excitement. The feeling of it was something i never felt before. By the time the ride ended, the park closed, but it was the best ending ride ever. Thank you Universal.

I got on the ride with my grandmother who had been on it many time before. I kept asking her “is it a drop here?” “Is it a drop here?” She never responded to anything I said, she just laughed. And I screamed. Lmao! Very fun ride and really well made.
