Great video! I have a question: why choosing to send trafic to your Saatchi profile than to your own website? I have a good trafic on my website: I'm teaching art and my blog and YT channel do a good job. And then, my students become my art collectors! So I'm wondering about having a Saatchi page or just keeping it to my website. Not sure I'm clear, lol. Thanks :)
Hello Dries. I just saw your saatchiart profile. I liked how you question each painting "“What would the art world, two centuries ago, have thought about this particular series?” I mean art is beyond technique and definitely we have to break some rules of past. All the best :)
This was very helpful. Thank you. I will check out those other videos you mentioned specifically about finding art collectors online. I hadn't heard of that avenue. 👍
Terrific video. I want to make big honking art on the best canvas and churn that stuff out like butter. Just spread it all over like fat over lean until the collectors can’t get enough. Tulip Mania will pale in comparison.
howdy again. out of curiousity, are you fully able to support youself just through your art all year round?. has corona slowed or increased your sales. is it merch/prints/originals all at 33% in terms of sales. aaand insta or saatchi ,whos better for sales.Appreciate everything your doing, wish nothing but neverending success and good luck for you.
Yes I am... I've been thinking about a video around the corona thing. It definitely slowed a lot down for sure but we got some support from the government as well so... I cannot complain.
The best camera is the one you have, no need to spend money on new equipment most of the time. I have two videos where I talk about my camera recommendations for artists etc.

I've been hesitating to use Saachi because a lot of people say they sell nothing on there, the paintings sit there for ever. did you make your ten grand on Saachi though?
If you don't drive traffic the paintings will sit there forever indeed... And to answer your question: yes... Was that unclear after watching the video?
Look at the artists that Saatchi is featuring, they are featuring people because they have 'proof of work', aka because they have sold artworks in the past. AND you actually don't need the 'highest' selling artists just make sure that they sell on a regular basis. If you have more questions hit me up on Insta or something.
Good stuff! I just arrived late to the party and checked out your saatchiart page. Your work, in particular Polluted Blue No. 9 is beautiful. How big is that piece?

Good evening sir. I am from India. I am a batik artist and I wish to sell on saatchi arts. Do they provide shipping service from India or I have to ship my art works myself?
Do you think region also matters in selling artworks on saatchi. I believe nobody like buying in or from a Pakistani Artist when I think my work does meet standards of many hyperrealistic artists? Or maybe it’s just the style that people don’t like as it’s quite debatable 😅
I totally understand you, it's not always easy but that's the beauty with the online world you can sell to any place you want and don't have to restrict yourself to anything
Saatchi Art Has unscrupulous history and practices in my opinion. ! I bought an original artwork thru a shop direct from the artist, not Saatchi Art, later I found that exact same original artwork on Saatchi Art for sale, but ok there can be a lag when work gets sold and it shows up on the site 6-8 months later, Wow and only due to me telling them. After contacting Saatchi Art they listed it as "SOLD" but at the original retail price witch even after communicating to them that I paid considerably less, $490 less, they left it as the original retail sold price $560 Red Dot, leading people to believe this Artists's work sells for that retail. In fact, the shop that I got it from told me that the Artist that it came from was cleaning out her studio of works that had sat for too long in the studio not sold, how long that is I don't know. After doing a little research I found other instances of Saatchi Art not being too scrupulous. While this may not be illegal per say, I find it a very distasteful Bizness practice.
I totally understand you. I personally find honesty very important as well. Thanks for sharing your experience, it will probably help some people reading your comment.
@@driesketels Sometime after purchasing an Original artwork direct from an artist I was looking for other works by that artist, I ran across Saatchi Art And my artwork was on their site for sale and at a retail price considerably higher than what I had paid . I had to informed them several times over some time before they finally listed as SOLD. They continued to list it as SOLD but at the full retail price and remains that way to this day even after I informed them of the discrepancy. In my opinion, this is a version of the Red dot scam Gallery's use to make artist look popular and are selling or selling for more than they actually do. Thoe this is not Illegal it is Vary Vary Distasteful to say the least, and I never got any responses from them on any of my communications to this day.
