Great video but....I am unable to expose the wires to the sensor to connect the new one. Is there another way to get to those wires? I don't want to break the wires!
Now one question, as how u cut and join the Temp. Sensor will this cause any overheating where the wires are joined, or is it a must u have to replace the complete sensor by unjacking and jacking back on.
If the evaporator coils are frosting over, then that would indicate a defrost issue. Here is a link to a troubleshooting video: ua-cam.com/video/OkJ7fXtenbU/v-deo.html
Would you mind advising me, my compressor is running, both fans are working well, I cleaned the coils (they were very dirty) , the main panel shows no signs of damage, blown capacitors etc, this began when my wife accidentally didn't close the freezer all the way so it iced over, unplugged for 2 days now, I'm thinking the thermistor or other temp sensor not calling for cold, all my major components are running fine. Thanks much LG french doors with bottom freezer drawer
@@TylerMcMahan It was a bad compressor Ty, but they had a 10 year parts for LG so we only paid labor. Even though it was still running, it was at half power or less,
@@wyattspop How did you go about getting service scheduled? Did you contact LG directly? I think I could have the same problem. How much was the labor? Thanks!
@@Metalgopher Thanks for answering that question. I just replaced the evaporator fan motor and its not working. I'm crossing my fingers that the refrigerator temperature sensor is bad and replacing that $12 part will get my fridge up and running again. If not I hesitate taking it in for a $300 board plus $100 or more for labor. Right now I'm just a little over $100 so that's not bad if I see five to eight more years of use.
