The Secret to keeping your Pea Gravel in place!

Here is your solution for keeping your pea gravel or decomposed granite in place - try mulch or rock glue. Mix the glue in with the rocks or put a few coats of glue on top of placed rocks. Either way your rocks will stay in place!

Crushed granite looks great too. I did a section of pea gravel alongside sidewalk and house, the 2 foot by 20 foot area many homes have. I used the glue..Just enough holds in ace. Use a lot more and it helps shed water away more from that area. There is another glue that almost waterproof the entire area. Great job, love that look. 👍

We want to do this, but have trees that drop acorns and pollen (which then really requires power washing on cement as they stain)... could we do this and power wash it? Thank you!

About how long will it last if you just lay a couple of layers on top compared to mixing it with the stone.

Unless you use expensive resin binders, the 'mulch glue' stuff loses effectiveness in a matter of months, especially if there's lots of rain or irrigation. And it's not for heavy-traffic areas. So don't use the cheaper 'mulch glue' unless you want to continually re-apply.
