I was thinking that Daud is a brave man and he has so much courage... Once Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said if had mom and I was saying the prayer and my mom suddenly calls me, I would leave the prayer and go to her. The standard of mom in Islam is so high. You respect your mom, may Allah help you and give you blessings. Edit : thanks for this much likes... Never got this much. And I understood what to do after I read all the replies from you guys.
This was probably before the tim Allah had sent down the verses restricting interference/talking in prayer. That wouldn’t be allowed now. Love your mom but not more than your creator.
Salam Alaikum An obligatory prayer is not to be interrupted. And one should finish his prayer before answering. If it is a voluntarily prayer, if he knows that his father or mother will not object to him completing the prayer, he may complete it and then answer them once he is free. But if he knows that they will object to him completing the prayer he may interrupt his prayer and answer them, and there will be no blame on him for that. Then he can go back and start praying again. And ALLAAH knows best

An obligatory prayer is not to be interrupted. And one should finish his prayer before answering.
If it is a voluntarily prayer, if he knows that his father or mother will not object to him completing the prayer, he may complete it and then answer them once he is free. But if he knows that they will object to him completing the prayer he may interrupt his prayer and answer them, and there will be no blame on him for that. Then he can go back and start praying again.
