One time my wife and I were in Vegas many years ago we played the machines on Friday night. We hit several big Jackpots. By the end of the night we were ahead around $5000. We had a big pile of cash and took pictures of the money. We started with $500 By Sunday we left with no money! Yes that was the last time I wanted to go gambling! It pays when you are winning. The old saying QUIT when you are ahead! My wife thought it was worth it for entertainment. It definitely was a rush! But the drive home we talked about what we could have bought with the $5000! You did better by stopping when you doubled your $20! We have some friends that live in Vegas and go to visit them at least once a year. They NEVER gamble. I go to Golf and sight see. And look at the SAD people throwing their money away! Yes the drinks are FREE when you are playing.

I don’t think the drinks are free in a casino that I am aware except for special circumstances like for high rollers maybe. I don’t like the high use of tobacco that is ever present in casino. I remember a long time ago and when my dad and I was testing a coin rejector mechanism at whiskey Pete’s I put some money on 22 on a roulette wheel and it came up and I walked. I think that’s the only time I have ever played a roulette wheel. I would say though that the rush of having my one and only child is greater than betting $25. I’ll tell you, the rush of doing certain athletic things where the possibility of getting hurt is very high for me. I had a friend tell me that day trading on the stock market was an intense rush for him.
I saw a drunk chick once put $100 on black and it hit. Due to being drunk she left the $200 on black which it hit again and now has $400. She started talking to her friends and when she decided to get her money it was $800 already. Meanwhile I was losing watching this.
