I went without for so long, when I had money I thought if I got enough supplies together, I'd never be blocked again. Then I became overwhelmed by "too much choice" and frozen by fear of wasting, felt everything had to be perfect and worthy to sell. It's a vicious cycle that smothers creativity.

I know exactly how you feel! 🤗 I have all these supplies I want to use, then end up falling back on Gelli printing & creating even more background inspiration. Have to keep reminding myself “it’s only paper” (thank you Pam from The Paper Outpost) & “if you don’t like it, it’s just not finished yet” (Lindsey The Frugal Crafter).
I often feel exactly the same way. I felt far more creative when I had less "stuff". Then like you, when I had the money I bought all the "things my favorite creators were using", thinking I needed them. I too worry about my inexperience and "wasting" the products I don't really have the money to replace. So there they sit, collecting dust and drying up while I sit here with little clue where to start. It's such a shame.💔

Exactly so. The fear of 'wasting' lovely supplies. I need to practice making Art for Art's sake...instead of something perfect in the eyes of others.

This is gorgeous! I bet that lovely chubby bumblebee was happy to have a nice home. And such a lyrical writing of your process too. I wish there was a clear embossing powder with just a hint of a rainbow shimmer to add to those wings. I wonder if you could have put a super thin layer of Pearl Ex powders or another mix of tiny patches of shimmering colours under or in the clear embossing powder 🤔 You might need to spray fix them before putting the embossing glue on though.
