you CAN'T talk too much about irregular triangles! I’ve learned so much about that from you and this video was a whole next level! so interesting!
Aaaaw Thank you, dear friend! ❤️
My mom used to arrange floral arrangements and she taught me general design rules .. use odd numbers when adding elements and how aesthetically pleasing to the eye the geometric shapes are .. triangles, squares, and rectangles.
This is a great collage and it inspires! I think I've finally figured out why I watch your channel the most. Obviously, you present interesting and creative content, but the big compliment is you aren't annoying! It sounds crazy but to me it is super important. Barbara, your calm voice, elegant hands, beautiful containers and perfect tempo make for such an enjoyable viewing experience. Thank you from North Carolina!
💯% agree! I was watching another popular crafting channel last night and everything about it felt so chaotic and messy.
Oh thank you! ❤️☺️
Totally agree! I always look forward to your new videos!!
Totally agree. Her voice is so soothing. No matter how much she talks it’s never annoying.
The explanations of the threes, diagonal lines, coordinating colors among papers and other materials was very helpful.
I really love the 3-D elements! It is amazing how you can take a picture and use it as an inspiration to create something so beautiful. I definitely need to try this idea. This spread is truly calming. It will be beautiful to come across when flipping through your journal. 🤗❤️
the triangle is a wonderful way to have your eyes travel around the page - this was a wonderful new way of creating a page - thank you Barbara - i love what you did xx
Love how you showed from inspiration to execution ❤ Thank you for sharing
Amazing informative lesson! Please do some more like this one. What would I do without you??!! 🤗
This has to be one of the best tutorials I have ever watched, and the result is stunning. Thank you so much
Wow, thank you! ❤️
Love this, fabulous, what a great idea. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Very good tutorial. You showed us how to use our inspiration to create a beautiful page.
I love your triangle idea. What a difference it makes. Thank you!
Oh my gosh, this is so beautifully done! Love, love, love how you collage!
You are a wonderful teacher and very clear! Thanks for sharing, love how it turned out!
I love the way you added a postage stamp as a 3D-design element. I love using postage stamps in my collages and using it your way is a new interpretation to enhance my collages further. I also love using buttons on my collages, but never thought to use eyelets. Thanx for inspiring me anew. I love, love your videos. Kind regards from Centurion South Africa.
I really love how this collage turned out! I will watch the video again so I can write down some of your tips. Thank you for sharing. ❤
triple love the everydayness of the materials you used
I learned new way of collaging….really enjoyable ❤️
So so cute and yes I learned something new once again. Thank you so much.
Once again….much enjoyed your Vintage look…and combining the printed picture with ephemera..You are the Collage Queen..Gracias ..Always a treat returning to Déjà Vu Videos..
I enjoy watching your thought process. It is very beautiful and helpful to make a cohesive collage. Thank you
This was a different way of creating in your journal...Love it. Nicely done👍
This was a good instruction for collage and I agree with the rule of three as a guide for creating balance. Collage is a fun, relaxed way to train our eye and make us feel more confident working with random visuals. Thank you for this!
Barbara: this is practically the way I collage. I was so amused by your method. I absolutely loved this collage. You had everything right there, at hand, in your stash. Super cool! Carol from California
Fun! Thanks for talking out your process!
Barbara, I do understand I too would have hesitated when cutting up such a pictures. Made me squeamish just watching you. Turned out so lovely I will now think of your end result when cutting something I hate to cut. Thank you
You can do it! 😃💪🏼❤️
Love the way the collage came outxxx🥰🥰
So creative!
I learned so much from this! Thank you for sharing your creative thoughts.
Absolutely brilliant Barbara!
Barbara, I’m also a control freak so I get it. Brave to cut from the back bit it worked out great. Love these pages and the 3D elements. Beautiful! TFS!❤
I really love your technec
Aawww!! My favorite, the slow flip through your Journal looking for the perfect page. We all know you do that just for me since you’ve already picked out the page you want to work on. (JK) Seriously, I do love that. So many beautiful pages and memories. I enjoyed todays collage because you used larger pieces. My mind always thinks of small pieces used in a collage. I like the bigger ones on the bottom and using small ones as accent pieces. Loved this!♥️♥️♥️
Thank you, sweetie! And yes, always think of you when I flip through a journal 😃❤️
Love how you explain everything in this video.
Thank you so much for your step by step teaching of making such a lovely harmonious collage. ❤❤❤
Gorgeous two page spread. That little package /stamp is absolutely adorable. Very pleasing to look at. My daughter just brought me two very interesting magazines. The one reminds me of your book.
Love it. Always look forward to you, Barbara and Louise's videos!❤
LOVE this collage!❤
What a beautiful collage!!!
I really like the way this turned out.
Omgggg sooo happy to see some of my little ephemera on this layout🎉 ❤
Hi Barbara! What a nice book!!! Love it :) Do have as well so many books .... hahaha ... cheers and have a nice weekend, Sonja
Great ideas. I always struggle to put collages together (I also struggled with spelling the word struggle!) so your guidelines are perfect for me. Love your finished composition.
Glad it was helpful! ❤️
Good Morning from Oregon, USA, Barbara! Wishing you a beautiful day!
Thanks and same to you! ❤️
I enjoy the way you always go with the flow! To begin, you picked only one page to collage but then it turned into a double spread. So much more interesting, especially with the added tiny package and needle & thread. Just lovely!! 🫶
What fun! Love this spread!
Absolutely beautiful! What a fun collage and turned out great! I loved the picture with the dominoes, very cool. You’ll have to do more of these!
Cutting up the original picture gave a good start to making it your own. Lovely!
I love te idea of the triangle 🔺️ and thr package 📦 you made is brilliant 🎉
“ Beautiful “ . Happy Tuesday Barbara, I love natural colors of college & you have a great gift for making them . The triangle makes lots of sense to me . Thank you 🌺💞🌺
Gorjuss collage, love the colours and raised elements❤
Thanks for the inspiration, Barbara! I spent some time going through a magazine I bought named “Vintage Home”, and found some lovely pages to copy and use. I am looking forward to trying your method for collaging! 💋🙏🏻❣️
Love this Barbara... what a wonderful spread and thank you so much for showing how to pull it all together... I have to give this a go... Thank you sharing...
Very beautiful! A really helpful tutorial. Thanks so much!
Very helpful... thank you. You have quite an eye for art!
It seems so logical when you do it but I would never have thought of gluing from the top down. I would be trying to take a photo & recreate it, driving myself crazy lol. Very interesting session 😊
I love gluing from the top down method. It has saved my sanity many times. Lol
Some great collage tips Barbara, this page came together beautifully! Thankyou for sharing x
I love these ideas - love your gluing technique. You have a fabulous eye at putting things together. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful collage.
I love those pages! Those elements speak to me as well. Love vintage sewing items. Interesting you should be doing collage today because I am sitting here pulling elements to collage on the front of some Easter cards. Thanks for the inspiration. You are the collage master!
Oh thank you! Have fun making your cards! ❤️
Beautiful! TFS the inspiration!
Such a pleasure, to listen and to watch you! And see the pages becomes prettier and prettier! Glad greetings from Rita❣️
Such fun and so easy and so many elements to look at, thx so much for sharing.
An amazing collage! I love it
Love your collage. Thanks for the lesson on placing items. Hugs
I love this. And I absolutely get your triangle thing.
Outstanding!
Very helpful, thank you. I love this page spread!
Cool book! I'm definitely not a magazine girl. I get inspired by Natasha Pulley's books and covers (projects on my to do list 🙈). Yes that image is 'very Barbara '. Yes being a control freak is hard 🙈. Cut from the back? 😱 OMG you're so brave!!! Triangle rule works in painting, or 'rule of thirds' as I was taught. Top down method has kept me sane! Great spread 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I just love this! 🤩😍 Thank you for the inspiration ❤️
Beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
I really appreciate what you have taught me, I am always struggling with collages. The element of 3 now works with everything JJing.
This is beautiful sweetie ❤ the book reminds me of the magazine I have, Brocante. Yep, they will have to come out of the cupboard and play in my collage journal 😊
Just a thought for later you can just flatten your eyelet and then glue it onto a project you don’t want to punch through .
Ingenious suggestion! Kudos.
STUNNING...LOVE IT ❤🧵🪡
Loved this idea thank you for sharing
Fabulous- I enjoyed watching this all come together….. I’m going to try this with my home decor book page inspiration. Thank you - hugs
I love this! The colors are perfect and the way you arranged them looks so good. I just cut out a bunch of museum book photos of antique items and wondered how to put them together in a journal. So glad you posted this video it really helps!!
Im happy this was helpful! Have fun with your cutouts! 😃👍🏻
This is so awesome!🤩 Now, I wish I had a journal of my own to create beautiful eye-candy in. I always make them, then give them away. lol! 😁
You make it seem so fun! And, you are so adorable I just wanna squeeze you.💖 Love and blessings.💙💙💙
Aaaaw you are so sweet! You should definitely have a journal to play in! ❤️
Beautiful.
Always fun to watch you chat and make decisions. This project was very interesting with ideas to make my own decisions easier.
The journal is amazing.....I know I'm going to enjoy looking at her Instagram😊
I love the idea to use a picture for inspiration! Thank you Barbara for sharing!
Wow that sure was an inspiration 👍
Beautiful😍thank you for sharing😊
Love what you did. Specially the little “soap” packet. Think I may steal that idea for something.
For me the problem with Collages is, that my brain won’t always accept them unless they make sense or there is a reason. If I were to cut out some pictures, like you did my brain would simply not let me go further! I’m getting better but I still need to have a reason to collage for it to turn out ‘right’! Not sure if that makes sense!!
Just keep practicing. I believe it will get easier ❤️
wonderful!
Really enjoyed this video, super inspiring! It just seemed that everything knew where to go so, obviously you chose all the right bits and pieces!💕🇨🇦
Absolutely loved this video. Great collages. I put one together i call under the table. Makes me smile when i look at it. So i guess its a good thing. Pelican, outdoor fountain under table. And copies of stamps under table valued at over 100.00 each. Lol its why called under the table. I enjoyed the magazine cut and paste collage technique. Take care.
I like this very much.
I love this!😊
I love your triangel theory. Helps a lot. I’m always using odd numbers. One uses that in flower bouquets as well. Your “upside down” glueing is a perfect find as well. Thank you for your videos. Keep on going please.
What a wonderful layout. Blessings lovely hugs from Colleen
You are such a great teacher Barbara! Thank you!
hello merci pour la leçon : c'était très instructif et très ludique en même temps cela m'a permis de mieux comprendre et appréhender le collage encore merci
A wonderful calming collage! 🥰
I'm going to try this
Lovely and especially the color scheme!! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning 😍
❤❤❤ so beautiful...
