OH ---------- You are going to like that new tool post ---MUCH -- nicer than your old one ------ You'll ------NEVER ---- want to go back ----- so just set your old one on the shelf ----it'll always be there ---- and there is where it will stay ----------- Anyway ---- a Lathe comes in so handy ------- Hope You Have a Good Memorial Weekend ----------- Rodney
Thanks Rodney, you're spot on, I'm loving this thing. I found a few more holders and have everything I use mounted in one. Lathes are great and I'm having a good time learning about mine. Have a good weekend!
Nicely done! If I was in that situation and was feeling particularly smart that day, I probably would have done the same! Maybe with some purple threadlocker to keep it from backing out while still keeping it easy to service.
LOL, Haven't seen a Helicoil in years. Thanks for the throwback.
Thanks Dog, gotcha covered on the throwbacks. And threaded inserts.

That's an awesome fix.
Thanks for sharing man ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.
Thanks Kevin, kinda lucked out with the dimensions and part availability but I'll take it!
@Haptic Garage
I've been looking for a fix to the toot post on my mini lathe I think I've found it. ✌️
@@kevinhamling1963 Cool! The "AXA" size may fit; there are a lot of tool holders available for that one and the "BXA" on my lathe. Good luck!

Thanks Steve! The post has stayed in place up to this point but that is a good option if the need arises. Good to hear from ya!
