It's all about bang for the buck. Sometimes that bang comes from function, sometimes the bang is aesthetic.

I love your rabbling! I started with a cheap remo hobby axial knock off. Just about everything has been upgraded, now I have over a dozen different crawlers, touring cars, dragsters and sled pullers. I can't stop, they all look sooo good 👍🏻😊 keep up the great work🎉

A small sheet of black rubber/ plastic cut to fit the interior and siliconed to the inside of bonnet will disappear in daylight but hide the colour of the wiring. Thanks for sharing.

I love my SSD pro44 axles, probably my favorite budget minded axle, they look good and handle a beating, my parts bin truck has the front on it and I threw the samix brass kit at it that included knuckles, new alum c-hubs and scale rotors and rear lock outs, now being a parts bin truck i never thought I'd enjoy a 10.2 as much as I do my Phoenix but I was wrong, I beat the absolute snot out of my 10.2 and it keeps ticking I plan on building more btw because it's my favorite truck behind the vs410. Thank you for showing me the alternative to Vanquish via Amazon etc it's made my life a lot easier, other than buying things used off marketplace. The RC chop shop has some good deals too, albeit used but you might find them useful with all the builds you do.

Despite being a scaler guy, might have to build myself a dig rig with cab only and try weathering on it.

the fun and enjoyment i get out of the hobby of toy cars, far out weighs the cost and total money spent. At the end of the day i can't take any of it with me when i die, so fuck it, as long as im having fun with this hobby, im going to keep spending the money on it.

I know this has nothing to do with the content on this video, but I bought a set of Injora silicon inserts. I think they are directional, I read it some place too. When you compress them see which way they collaps.

Excellent vid you're right it's all about perspective and everyone's is different, I am a frugal guy by necessity but if I could afford it I still wouldn't pay Vitavon prices, I'm good with that, everyone has to live with their perspective just enjoy it. as always thanks.

Your setup makes much more sense. Looks good. I agree. My previous hobby was golf. I didn't buy newest clubs every year but the initial cost and just playing was more than I'll put into toy cars. If it makes you happy and doesn't break the bank do it.

Ya know every now and then we recognise ourselves in others but you Mr Canyon might just be the me from a parallel universe but in this one, wait... what?
So, I am also a fan of MORR and the Morrvair (I'd love to see a morrvair build) and the Banana and I'd also just watched the Jeffe Bronco 74weld video and I am watching to the bit where they are fitting them and you can see how glorius they look and I'm like "I wonder how much they are?" So, I also go over to the website and look up how much they are $20k right damn! I mean I live in the UK we don't even have Bronco's here!
Are you as excited to see the return of Bombi? Mate, that Robbie Layton fella has had it forever! 😂🙃
Thanks again for the entertainment Mr CC

You mentioned that you have trouble justifying the purchase of the more expensive OEM brand when there is a cheaper copy on Amazon. However, you have to consider the original manufacturer (“OEM”) spent the time and money to develop the original product. If people don’t support the OEM brand, then it will hurt the development of future products, since the knockoff brands spend zero time and money developing completely new products. We could eventually end up with little to no new products being developed, since there is no profit to be made in being the first company to develop a new item.

I used to get upset about the cost of Nitro fuel when I was racing gas trucks, 8th scale buggy & truggy, and 8th scale dirt oval. And it took a while for my brain to realize this is a hobby. This is not something that is required. A hobby is something extra for you to do, you don't HAVE to do the hobby. So no point in complaining about the cost.
Akin to the model train world, spend what you want to spend...just know that someone else out there has spent more than you for a better setup. Spend what you want to spend, because you don't HAVE to spend anything.

None of the ladies punching other ladies in the Target parking lot are there for 20oz tumblers, though. They want those gargantuan 40oz jugs that weigh a pound and a half empty, and go for $45+. In the days leading up to Christmas, some colors were going for $100.

Can anyone give a true definition of dig I've herd about 3 different thing
    Locker for posy
Lock out to stop axel spinning
And disconnected the lower to a axlenfor free wheel

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  8 місяців тому +1

Depending on how you set up your controller, you can have a "3-position rear end," with full 4WD, rear axle in "neutral," and rear axle/driveshaft locked. I strongly, STRONGLY prefer dig on a momentary button, set up as "push and hold to dig." I don't like dig on a switch, so I don't set up my Phoenicians on the 3-way switches because of that. Dig in our application is rear end fully locked, so you're dragging the rear end like an anchor. Now if you mix a dig gearbox and TRX-4 axles (or others with remote lockers) you can have what is in some instances more useful-- the rear axle is locked, but the diff is open, so the rear end will pivot even more quickly. There is a level of complexity (and weight) to that setup, so it occurs in the Canyon fleet just once.
