To be clear, Eren is whipping out everyone INCLUDING any Eldians not currently on Paradis
There is a weird kind of beauty in this episode.
Eren is revealed as the ultimate villain, a now borderline god getting ready to commit mass genocide. At the same time, he is the first person in history to humanize Ymir and treat her like a human being, rather than a weapon of war or a goddess. In a single episode he does both the kindest and worst things imaginable.
Eren was using her as a weapon of mass destruction so no he didn't do a kind thing. He didn't humaise Ymir. The very first he said to her was lend me your power when that didn't work he then tried to come at it from another angle except Ymir was controlling him all the while to get to Mikasa. The King who enslaved her wanted the Titans to dominate the world till the end and that was exactly what Eren planned. eren was another Fritz. A genocidal mad man who was loved by a powerful woman [mikasa]
Ymir needed Mikasa to do what she couldn't in order to be free. Ymir needed Mikasa to kill Eren. That's why Ymir picked Eren. Mikasa was the one who gave Ymir her humanity back not Eren. He was merely a pawn of Ymir's
@@chinyereugwu9431 1. When he first spoke to her, he knew nothing of her past. He had been told that she was borderline a god through an evil pact. Granted royal founders commanded her, at best he thought she was an empty vessel like Zeke eventually said. In the manga "Always here, all alone" is the first thing he notes about her. He then requests "Founder Ymir, please lend me your power". Despite it being different in the anime, he still addresses her by her name and REQUESTS the power. He doesn't command her like Zeke, Fritz and all other royals. Not sure why you'd think his first interaction with her should have been more humanizing than that given he knew nothing of her past yet.
2. Eren planned to use the titans to free his people. He at no point had any inkling of looking for domination of other nations through the power of titans. Fritz used Ymir to subjugate other nations. Eren erases them completely, there is no kingdom at the end of his rumbling...The fact that you'd even compare them tells me you lack serious perspective.
3. If Ymir only cared about using Eren, she would have obeyed him from the get go instead of following Zeke's command...Yeah its clear that Mikasa helps her let go of her love for Fritz, but it's Eren that frees her from his eternal command of her serving royals and his will. You're implying she was only a slave in one manner which is grossly misleading. She is literally drawn as a blank character until Eren humanizes her. Until then she has no eyes, no expression and seemingly no real will of her own. To get to the end and then dismiss everything that led to it as "all part of the plan" shows a severe lack of understanding in the story the author is trying to convey.
Team Eren for life. What anti-Eren people seem to forget is that he had no choice really. Damned if he did and damned if he didn’t. The entire world had rallied together and declared war on Paradis first! Eren only attacked after. Not saying what Eren did was right, but he succeeded in his goals. He protected Paradis/his friends, ended the power of the titans, and stopped the cycle of war for hundreds of years. You can’t oppress people for 100 years and not expect retaliation 🤷🏾♂️
Erwin literly said that he doesn't believe that peace can ever be a thing since there will always be someone to fight. Paradise would eventually destroy itself since peace and freedom is a fake thing and impossible thing to ever achieve, the Rumbling would just make their world shink
But the Eldians were the oppressors first. And Eren had a choice.
@@Pohi Eldians, but not subjects of Ymir. Ymir is not even an Eldians. But Eren etc are not only Eldians, they are Subjects of Ymir before all. Subjects of Ymir are victims of Eldians. And since Eldians used them as weapons, Marley hated them and the world turned to be their ultimate ennemy. Basically, Subjects of Ymir is a people of slave. And Eren is about to destroy all people who try to chain them. No matter what everyone will say, he never had any other choices. Eren is not seeking peace, he is seeking freedom. And it's not with compromise and peacefully living in their Island that his people will be free. Freedom is at this price, sadly ... As long as they have titan's power, they'll never be free. The world will try to kill them or to use them in war. So yes, Eren never had any choices. Because it's the only answer to obtain freedom. Not peace for sure, but freedom.
Likewise you can't oppress people for over 1000 years and not expect retaliation or to be hated.
@@vincentvieille5996 The subjects of Ymir are descendants of Ymir and the Eldian chief Fritz so they are the ones who oppressed people for over 1000's of years. They are the only ones who could become titans and the ones ruling for generations after until Marley took over. Ymir's descendants have been ruling Eldia following the death of the first King that's how come the royal family was always the coordinate. Ymir was a slave whose village was conquered but those villagers aren't the called the subjects of Ymir. Why would they be? However even if the subjects of Ymir = people from her village, then they are still the ones who became the Titans that were used to oppress people. Ymir herself is guilty of wiping out more than 3 times the world's population. Slaves often rise up against their masters or runaway. She could have done but she didn't and committed the worst crimes the world has known out of love so she and her bloodline were the initial oppressors. Just because a person was enslaved or abused or oppressed doesn't absolve them from guilt.
Damn I agree, the dub roars sound like a Banshee scream or something. Really interesting, didn't even realize that
its not just the colosal ymir making there, every time a titan shifter transform she is making the body in the path, as well everytime they heal
I can not bring myself to imagine how many innocent Eldians got hurt of killed by Eren when he triggered the Rumbling when the Walls fell....
Can you bring yourself to imagine the millions of Eldians he killed in the Rumbling? I mean Eldians forced millions across the globe to breed with them so there are Eldians living in all continents.
Blake having a mental breakdown this episode 😂
the titan roars sound so weird in dub. Eren is like “genocide is bad!” *also commits genocide*
"The only people that haven't done wrong are the Founders of Ymir" ??? lol. Great reaction!
Ymir has been a slave for as long as she can remember it makes a sad bit of sense that she'd go back to her slaver.
Great reaction 💪💪💪
Keep like this and get ready to fall in love with this masterpiece even more, more and more
I'm so excited 😉😉😉

saving my ymir comments for the finale
Admit to yourselves you should have watched the sub.
Nope! We admit we should’ve watched the finale in dub. We also say, watch it how you want to watch it! Don’t let people on the internet tell you which way is “better” - Blake
Blake❤🎉
dub sounds fanmade compared to sub🤣
😭😭😭😭
haha so the guy in the middle was ragging the guy with the beanie during zekes backstory ep talking about genocide bad grr and here he literally actually tried to justify genocide … hypocrite much smh 🤦♀️
Sure am, I am a yeagerist for life - Blake
Not gonna lie but dubbed vs subbed I prefer DUB version.
You dropped this 👑
The Eldians are far far worse than the Marlyans! Are you kidding? The Eldians dominated the world for over 1500 years. Marley has only had the power of Titans for 100 years. Eldians before the King fled to the Island had eliminated 3 times the worlds population. There is no comparison. It's like comparing a mass murderer to a man who killed their neighbour.
Spoken like a true Marleyan - Blake
