@@MrSinister718 Omg can you grow up and leave if you're so triggered? This is a place for positivity and kindness, something you clearly don't value in this world.
This is Hamilton. The play and its cast have never claimed to be neutral nonpartisan (…remember when Pence went to see the play?) Besides, they are not discouraging anyone from going in and casting their ballot the other way, if anything the message I get is they’d rather you did vote differently from them than not vote at all.
As a civics teacher, I made sure my students understood that voting is the way they make their voice heard on local, state, and federal levels. That, regardless of whether they were Republican, Democrat, or anywhere in between (funny enough, most of them were) that choosing not to vote would remove their basis for complaining about results. I was very proud of my students, conservative and liberal, who left more prepared to contribute to our great country.
As a minor you can develop your political views and as soon as you are eligible you can register to vote! Not having a vote yet is a great time to debate yourself and others and decide what you actually want to vote for. That way when the time comes, you won't be frozen in inaction or overwhelmed
@@angelexis2Yeah I already made my decision which is Kamala Harris. But I'm unfortunately powerless and have to rely on the adults of America to vote for the right person so people like me won't be affected by Project 2025. If people vote for Trump every minority might as well leave the country especially queer people. I doubt that enough people will vote for Harris because many people today are still dumb and conservative. So, if Project 2025 does happen (which wouldn't be surprising) then I can't wait for people to go "why are so many queer kids & adults committing s*icide out of nowhere?" Or "why are women dying from pregnancy complications?" And "why are so many people racist?" Like they didn't cause the problem of restricting talks of the LGBTQ, race theory, and wanting to ban abortion. Even after the debate with Harris and Trump, considering Donald Trump apparently has plot armor we're probably still screwed. I can ponder all day about who I want to vote for but it wouldn't make a difference. And this year matters a lot! But yeah I'm not getting my hopes up for our species.
@____________________________a but a mindset like this is partly what contributes to political polarization. I think we should develop ideas views and values for ourselves, and as we do so, treat other people with respect and hear them out. We might find many people's actual views might not be strict red or blue but more complicated, moderate or something else entirely because humans and their experiences are unique and complex. And people with differing or even seemingly incompatible views can talk civil about it and might even learn from each other, or at least that gives this country a better shot at improving its issues. If more diverse minds come together.
This is a perfect explanation of why I support mandatory voting. Here in Australia, if you don't vote you get fined. This aims to make sure that everyone's voice is heard, and the elected representative represents the majority.
Yeah it's a totally different world out there. No democracy sausages. I like the mandatory voting but I think we are one of only 2 (?) countries in the world who do it. In theory, because it's mandatory, they have to make it as easy as possible for everyone to do ❤
G'day, fellow Aussie! Another thing I really appreciate about our system is that voting day is always on Saturday, which means that people can be in-person at the polling places without worrying about negotiating with their workplaces. The Australian Electoral Commission also does amazing work.
That's the thing though...here in America, the greatest country on earth, it is our RIGHT to vote if we so choose. We aren't FORCED to like you are. It's a little something we call FREEDOM
@@KoreanKowboy93 I personally prefer to see it as an obligation to count everyone's vote (even if it's blank/informal) rather than the freedom from compulsion that the US has. But I can understand why people don't like being forced to do something.

Really? What song were you listening to? 2:10 Do you think “we’ve won each time our rights were gambled” means they are voting for protecting the lives of children who are threatened by abortion? I made sure I was still registered. As a disabled person, I'm so thankful Oregon has mail-in voting for everyone.
I'm a disabled person (in Florida) voting by mail too!
I just moved away from Oregon, after 18 years there, and I miss that voting system already. The only way for me to cast a vote this election is to stand in line. Not looking forward to that, but I WILL be voting. Registered and ready to go.
make sure your vote will arrive in time!! im no expert as a british person but im pretty sure different states have a certain amount of time they'll accept mail in votes arriving, so make sure yours will be counted!!
I'm thankful Texas has it too! I am a college student in Idaho and cannot afford to come back home by November to vote (also can't claim residency in Idaho)
@@juresichj Hi! I'm not sure where you live, but in some states if you have a hard time standing in line you can ask one of the pollworkers to stand in line for you while you wait elsewhere. It's a good idea to call your state election board and see what accommodations they can make for you based on your needs! Your vote matters!
Me, an underage European- AND I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY VOTE!!!
But seriously, to all Americans. Go vote, your vote doesn't only affect your country but with the power it has, it affects the whole world. I'll vote in my country as soon as I'm able to and I'll do it with pride. Your vote matters, you might think that's it's one vote but when thousands think so, it changes everything.
Ok I will vote for Donald J. Trump
I agree, let’s all vote for Trump
@@atonewiththedust Before you do, please answer this quick question
Do you want a dictator?
If you answered no, vote for Kamala Harris. Trump is thinly veiling his plans to enact Project 2025, which would give absolute power to the president and turn them into a dictator. It's called "Unitary Executive Theory" and is extremely unconstituional
@@CarapaceClavicle Now, I'm not saying you can't, who am I to say you can't. Why do you want to vote for Trump? Just out of curiosity, I want to know more about politics around the world.
@@kalina5823 because he’s the lesser of two evils. His rhetoric can be abrasive but he has America’s citizen’s interests more in mind. He doesn’t undermine our values under the guise of altruism like the Dems. He’s the only president in my 40 years who hadn’t started any new conflicts during his presidency. His personal issues have consistently been over exaggerated for the past ten years (just watch any raw video regarding any of the controversies about him). His policies don’t undermine the rational basis for human rights, etc etc etc. I could go on and on.

Is…… Did we get a Hamildrop in this the year of our Lord 2024???? This is a great remix.
@ESPHMacD this isn't quite a Hamildrop. Pretty close though
Guys it's actually better to have an informed vote then just voting to vote.
And that's the point. Listen to words.
I mean, they should go hand in hand, everyone should be informed so everyone can vote. I know it might be easier said than done, but the information of the parties involved should be easily accessible, right? Especially in the era of the internet and news media?
This is a vibe, can't say no to this
45 likes and no reply? Lemme change that

Now I want a Sequel to Hamilton set in the Modern Day.
Someone said this is this years election:
"No one knows who you are or what you do"
"They don't need to know me, they don't like you"
Well, get to know everyone anyways. It's good to know who you're voting for, no matter what.
Still recovering from an accident, In 2016 I could barely walk, but I marched to my polling place listening to “ Hamilton.” It got me there and back.
Just as cringe as this song
@@MrSinister718 Omg can you grow up and leave if you're so triggered? This is a place for positivity and kindness, something you clearly don't value in this world.

@@arcticfox3878 bro it's a song reminding people to vote it really ain't that deep.
this is the most partisan "non-partisan" voting song I've ever heard
FR
This is Hamilton. The play and its cast have never claimed to be neutral nonpartisan (…remember when Pence went to see the play?)
Besides, they are not discouraging anyone from going in and casting their ballot the other way, if anything the message I get is they’d rather you did vote differently from them than not vote at all.
1:40 THIS SLAPS SO HARD WHATTTTTT
Ikr
RIGHT?
YES I REPLAYED THAT BIT TOO
As a civics teacher, I made sure my students understood that voting is the way they make their voice heard on local, state, and federal levels. That, regardless of whether they were Republican, Democrat, or anywhere in between (funny enough, most of them were) that choosing not to vote would remove their basis for complaining about results.
I was very proud of my students, conservative and liberal, who left more prepared to contribute to our great country.
I love you all! And YES I'm voting BLUE BLUE BLUE!
2024, the year America got its sh*t back together!
Not yet it hasn't
Pray for it this election fixes stuff up 💙
I was NOT expecting to see Hamilton make a song about this but It's a BANGER
I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY VOTE‼️
me, a minor: I am not throwing away my vote
@@angelexis2 especially if you want to develop a vendetta against half the people you will ever talk to
@____________________________a but a mindset like this is partly what contributes to political polarization.
@@angelexis2 i have anxiety my ass is NOT debating nobody 😭
I can’t even vote and I’m still hyped 🤩
I'm having an aneurysm

Tf is embarrassing about this
I love this, especially since the message is to simply vote. They didn't push one side or the other, they didn't hate on either side, they just want people to get out and vote, and I love that!
If you didn’t think they were biased towards one side you didn’t pay attention to the lyrics 😂😂
@@kyledaines2428 Yeah... It was pretty obvious who they're leaning towards. A monkey could've told you that.
@@kyledaines2428 I thought I was the only one who noticed the shade
Definitely. The way they were positioning the last election as the best outcome by saying women vote again like you did last time 😂
Really? What song were you listening to? 2:10 Do you think “we’ve won each time our rights were gambled” means they are voting for protecting the lives of children who are threatened by abortion? I don’t think so. I think they want their special murder rights against their children protected instead.
i really admire and appreciate that they didn’t talk anything about the actual people running, but just about the voting system
That’s a very smart way of doing a song like this, especially with how one sided so many people can be now a days
It was still very one sided if you listen closely to the lyrics.
@@hayleighelaine5671 Bias is always going to affect how you communicate, but at the end of the day this is still fairly open.

I agree but biased opinions can take form in any shape
It baffles me that people like this unironically and that it encourages anyone to vote

Also if you are handicapped or caregiver of someone who is handicapped and can not be left alone or leave someone alone, there is a special box you can checkmark when signing up for the absentee ballot that will have the ballot hand delivered to you so you can still participate.
