- A circular walks along a ridge to Simonside in the Northumberland National Park. It was a perfect weather day and hand everything from lovely views over moors to interesting rock formations and a woodland wander.

I've spent a good bit of time in coastal Northumberland and aside from Kielder I've not seen much of rural northumberland. Thanks for showing us around this part of Simonside.
I definitely have lots more to do up there 😊 it’s a lovely area I’d like to explore more

I did a walk there with Eddie Caisley for the first time about 18 months ago and really enjoyed it there. Lovely day for a hike there, great views and there are so many great rock formations that provide a great photo op. Its a nice path to walk back to the car as well, which is the way we took as I remember, cheers Alan

No it’s a very easy route to follow and yes a few rocky sections but pretty easy walking really 😊 enjoyed it though it’s a nice little loop

Sorry Yasmin that I wasnt at your premiere - I had to sort some dinner out! Loving the circular walk around Simonside walk. Love Northumberland, never knew this place existed! With thanks to your video I now do! What spectacular views and landscapes, I love nothing more than watching your videos whilst i'm winding down for the day, you make them so cinematic! What a quiet place, no-one else with you! Just so peaceful. It was lovely to see the forest too in the woodlands, it's great how well signposted everything is too! Thank you muchly for another excellent video!

Such an interesting walk Yasmin. I really enjoy mixed terrain like that - rocky outcrops, broad heather moorland and forest. With the views beyond there was plenty of interest. A fantastic ridge to walk. Mark

Hi Yasmin- Great to get out for another hiking mission! I enjoyed seeing the video taken with your drone- really gives a nice perspective! The flag stones along the path are really nice, must help in the winter when it's all muddy and wet. The rocky outcrop is really interesting. Nice to walk a loop hike, we most often have out and backs, which are ok too. Have a wonderful weekend! 👍👍💛💛
Thanks Jennifer yes I do enjoy the different view the drone gives. Lovely little circular route this I enjoyed it a lot. And absolutely I imagine on a wet and rainy day it gets pretty boggy up there.

Hi Yasmin Northumberland is somewhere we are yet to explore! Looks similar to the Peak District! You are getting good with the drone! We had quite an experience with Nick’s this weekend but that storey is for another day 😂 fabulous rock formations and views for miles! Love it when you have path choices as long as you don’t get lost! Lovely forest! Looks like plenty of free parking! Enjoyed this hike with you! Have a great week ahead 💛

@@yasminshikingmission we had fun playing with it close then Nick got brave too quick and sent it off then not fully knowing the controls instead of bringing it back it went off to the left somewhere then he found the home button but we didn’t realise it goes really high before coming home and not trusting the home button he cancelled it! It turns out it was way way above us but we didn’t recognise what we were seeing and we knew the battery was low 😳 long story short we got it back but Nick says never again 🤣
@@GENerationXplorers that’s when I panic when we were on the meet up At grimwith reservoir it got to low battery then yelled home and when up in the sky high up lol I panicked as I didn’t know what it was doing
Looks like a great walk in varied terrain and with the weather you had you could enjoy it to its best. We wonder how it’ll look once the heather appears. Never been to Northumberland- need to put it on our list. 🙂

How do you navigate on your walking
Thanks always a little scary flying the drone I think but do love the footage from it. I use os maps and os app for my navigation. To be honest this one was very easy to follow especially on a clear day. Lol yep I was huffing and puffing away 😂
Beautiful little wander. The scenes on top were just beautiful and I loved the few looks into the forest. Also congrats on your recent growth. I think you picked up quite a few subscribers recently, didn't you? At least I don't remember you on 1.2k.
Thanks! No it was last week I suddenly went up about 500 subs and my watch time has gone up a bit too. So hopefully that means I’m doing something right 😅 still have a way to go with watch time but it’s good to see the channel growing like that 😁 thanks so much
@@yasminshikingmission Any particular video. I double checked your recent stuff, and it doesn't seem there is like one that would be "viral". Just general growth? Congratulations in any case.
We are also slowly starting to accumulate watchtime, after making our videos longer again. Seemed like we were keeping them too short. Still working on finding the sweet spot.
@@HikeForHappiness the only big view one recently was actually a short clip of three otters that reached I think over 5k views. 😅 thats the only one I can think of that maybe got the surge in subs. I have been posting more shorts lately.
@@yasminshikingmission you know that you can see this in UA-cam studio? They have views to see where subs came from, so you can go and try to replicate what gave you the jump. We had a surge from shorts about Africa, but that ended up possibly hurting the channel a bit, as our other views dropped. we have now recovered a bit and are slowly growing again, but I was staying away from shorts because of it.
