    Great idea. I just loaded the fd. I used my wife's recipe though, can't stand the canned stuff. I used ground venison.

    I’m sensing a noodle theme here, and that’s all right. The last episode was spicy and I was surprised when you didn’t put as much spice in this. But then you explained it quite well: tacos shouldn’t be as spicy. I agree with that.
    When I go buy fast food tacos I go to Taco Bell because they don’t spice up their meat much. I tried Taco Johns but they really spiced up their taco meat.. I haven’t been back to them since, even though I drive by them often.
    I appreciated your saying “you can use any color of pepper you want” when you put red in today as opposed to green last episode. There’s a slight difference in taste, the red I think are sweeter, though not as sweet as the yellow or orange peppers. I don’t use peppers often when I prepare things but your videos have me thinking a lot different now😁!
    Corn bread as croutons… I love it!
    Thank you for explaining the labels this time around, I still think they look professionally done with your Bibs logo added. Doesn’t matter if they’re a template, you changed them for your own branding.
    Wow, you sure do put a lot of work into each video. The labels, the meal prep, freezing, freeze drying, making and editing the videos… you are appreciated!!
    I’m not as hungry this morning, I watched the last episode last night and got so hungry watching I ate a bunch, still full from then. This episode showed up immediately after watching the last episode but I saved it for something to watch this morning. I’m going to be busy buying vegetables and such.

    Just bought a pack of the pouches to give them a try. I didn't spend 50.00 but it still gave me a little discount using BIBS. Thank you! :)

    That looks great. I always worried about freeze drying cheese, but you have given me confidence! Another way to finish without freeze drying is to add black beans, put crushed corn chips and cheese on top and bake.

    Do you buy your oxygen absorbers at top mylar?
    I bought from another place and they were hard as a rock. Disappointed.
    Love your videos.

    • @AliciaRyann
      @AliciaRyann 2 роки тому +1

      If they are hard they have been air exposed and will not suck out any oxygen. I prefer packfreshusa as they also have a color dot and seal in packs of 10.

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  2 роки тому +2

      Yes I do I get them in packs of 10. They have the little pink dot inside each packet to let you know they are good. I love topmylar.com

      These had the color dot also, but the second I opened the bag the dot immediately went to dark purple. And they were hard.

    Hi John, I received my freeze dryer last week so this is all new to me and have loved watching your videos.
    I wanted to make rissotto but I am not confident that it will freeze dry for long term storage because of the oil in the cheese.
    Have you tried to freeze dry any rissotto ?

    Man!!! These look good. I have had my freeze dryer running nearly non-stop but still have only done chili as a full meal. Everything has just been ingredients. I want to try several of your Pouch O Noodles!

    tried this and couldn't get the "pucks" to dry after 36 hours - ended up breaking them up and running the pieces for additional 6 hours - Whew! I am going to trying adding rice into the mix to help create air channels for the water vapor to "exit" the food. It will also help with keeping the meal gluten free for my daughter.
