    As a general rule I'm sorry pretty much every day that Max Geldray is no longer with us. After watching that video I'm doubly sorry. He would've had a blast with those.
    Well done.

    I am totally convinced no one but you, in this day and time, could present, design and accomplish what you are about to do. Well, have already. Doug would weep beholding your insight and genius. You honor us, truly. Please give me time to catch up ... it's been awhile, chum. Whew!

      +De Potter M. Not sure if you're right about that friend (a.k.a smartass). Read the description. Inventing this kind of stuff is his job. Not sure why you were so eager to put him down but yeah......the guys a beast.

    I'm doing something similar with 2 harps. Very cool. I've only got one video up, and it's old and full of warts. I started toying with playing this way about ten years ago. So excited such a big name spreading the two harp gospel. More recordings on the way...

    this would be a neat feature with a couple of cheap echo celestes . a C and a C# could be used as a regular chromatic,but with tremelo,for example!! very exciting

  • @chandraiah12
    @chandraiah12 9 років тому +2

    Hello Brendan
    Great Innovation. Hats off.
    You should try standard chromatic on one and a tremelo on the other!

    Again me. I read about the Helmholtz-problem. I am a guitar player and as a child I imagined harmonicas made of wood or earthenware instead of the harsh sounding metal cover plates an I even disassembled my E-major and tried to build the middle part of the sandwich into wooden cases and so on. The shape and the bracing of a guitar is made to reduce predominant natural self-oscillations. What about somehow asymmetrical, guitar-shaped cover plates? Nowadays this might be a 3D-Printer job.

    Brendan, I would like to use some easy-to-handle distribution for Europe, maybe just as one can buy a tombo via amazon which then actually ships from presumably china. Or maybe just one retailer for germany just to make the ordering and payment easier. Thanks for reading

    This is pretty rad, Brendan! Looks like the twin harp mouthpiece has to attach to where the standard chromatic/octave mouthpieces attached (screws into the face of the comb). Does that mean it can't be used with diatonic harps? I can think of HUGE numbers of possibilities of using this with diatonics (customized chord harps come to mind, for example), and would love to see that as an option.

    Nice ideas, Brendan. I´m following you since a while. I'm very interested in the last model you showed. Besides, have you ever thought about making a chromaic bass (instead of having two pieces)? Would be interesting to expand bass posibilities.

    I am waiting for the twin device in the size of the seydel-12-hole. They are custom building for me two true fifth-circle harmonicas (in close-to circular tuning) which in a logically straight way cover most of the diatonic chords (like an accordion) and which together wouid make one single chord-harmonika for the guitar player's rack/holder.

    That Looks really Great!! I wonder how much air, or extra air, it takes in comparison to the single, before and after being Siamesed together.
    I have and Really like my twin harmonica from Seydel Named the Sampler, it is in both C & G.

    this is so impressive Brendan. What is your opinion of the diminished tuning for the chrom? It seems much more efficient than the standard tuning. Will it have a place in your master plan? keep up the incredible innovations.

    Roni Eytan was just a little too avant garde for me. Being a synthesizer programmer, I have experimented with alternate tunings but I just don't find it pleasing to my ears. Guess I'm just not that hip. Think I'll just keep hanging out with my blues scales!

    hi Brendan POWER
    I gotta an idea to make it real since when ı started play harmonica, but ı have no chance to do it. ı planed an harmonica for turkish music. maybe you would know about some turkish or arabien music which has some extra notes from 12 tempered system. For example we have got two different Bb notes on our scales. Bb1 & Bb2 . if you can make some dual system harmonica , we love to use it. that can be used for any type of "makam" musics. For extra information you can whatch Dr.Tolgahan ÇOĞULU's videos. he invent a guitar for this type musics.

    • @BrendanPowerMusic
      @BrendanPowerMusic  7 років тому +1

      I have made it, the Quartetone Chromatic. It is featured in the video above, played by Roni Eytan, and you can find more details on my website under the tab Twin Harmonica System: www.brendan-power.com. More videos of Roni playing it there also :-)
