Delightful, on a musical lol level but on so many more, too. It might be commonplace where you are and in your circles, but tight families playing acoustic ensembles in their own kitchen is an incredibly rare and priceless thing in today's world. 👍👌
Beautiful. The celtic origins of the music are so clear to me, particularly 'holding David '. I love your harmony. I'm a very old Welshman and I well remember rugby stadiums resonating with hymns in 4 part harmony by crowds of many thousands who had never met. Please keep up your wonderful music and stay true to your heritage.
The only things most outsiders (like myself) ever hear about Appalachia is about black lung disease, dying industries and opioid addiction. Thank you for show the rest of us the positive things of an old and organic branch of American culture.
They arm are so much more to this area wish everyone could see it through our eyes. Everyplace has his problems but I hope the good always outweigh the bad .
Praise the Lord ,I’m cleaning house listening to this wonderful family ,Thanksgiving is tomorrow and cleaning my kitchen and your music I’m getting through real quick .Happy Thanksgiving and love to you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a powerful song and I love the girls voices. My great grandfather, grandfather and his brothers were all coal miners in KY. I only have one old photo of them and it looks like they are covered in coal, standing on a mountain. I left at 6 years of age, so no memory of them but it still brought tears. Beautiful job, girls!
I've just been taking in all the videos. Both channels. I'm sitting hear listening and just feel so tearful. I'm thinking about you Tipper and Deer Hunter, how proud y'all must be. I am thinking about my younguns and how we are all just so close too. My heart is weepy for all of those who just don't have that. I'm praying maybe others can find this channel and just become a part of what y'all have so they don't got to be so lonely. Praying for all y'all too. I am so blessed to be here.
The last two days has been such a relaxing day of all the videos and beautiful sing from the family. Always love hearing Katie and Cories singing. Mighty sweet harmony!
Great concert absolutely love y’all’s music and pureness, y’all inspire me to keep playing myself and write my own songs that hope and love alone is worth all the.. Amen
Since I have found your youtube channels I can"t get nothing done! You all have ruined me! All I want to do is listen to your music and stories! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents and getting me out of doing any work!
I have the same problem! Well, is it really a problem?😉 I’ve always loved Bluegrass and the Bluegrass gospel. Y’all are amazing. I’m commenting a couple years later, but I had to chime in here. (Aug.’23 from TN)💖
This may be my favorite Darrel Scott song out of his entire catalog. When I first typed this I said Tim O'Brian since he has played this with Darrel Scott before. Absolutely beautiful.
Blessing my heart ! Just came from planting peppers and cucumbers, came in put my iPad on the island and I am able to hear my favorite family sing, while I fix lunch. Thank you so much for blessing me with such music.
Katie and Corie , do you all ever change parts when singing…sometimes when I have my eyes closed I hear parts sometimes it sounds like Corie then sometimes it sounds like Katie your voices are so near the same.. love it.
If you could only hear us clap every time you and your souls we want to hear more God bless you because you have blessed us we are here in northern Wisconsin waiting out a snow storm couldn’t have it better than listening to good old bluegrass old time music
I've been following the Pressley girls for a little bit. Came across them with some research on the Appalachian mountains and the history. I have never been to the south. My mom has always told me that I am an old soul. I feel so drawn to this. Just told my husband that I think I want my ashes spread on the mountains. Thank you for all of your sharing. ❤
@Jess Hi there! You mentioned that you had never been to the South, but you can change that. You should come visit our lovely state sometime. It's got loads of different geographical areas, from the Atlantic Coastal Plain and the Outer Banks in the east, to the foothills of the Piedmont in the middle of our state, to the Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway in western Carolina. You'll be more than welcome. I'm not in the North Carolina mountains; I live in eastern North Carolina, about 45 minutes from the Atlantic coast, in the small city of New Bern. 😃🙂👋✌
Wow! I am completely gobsmacked at such a fine family performance. I had the good fortune to land upon your Celebrating Appalachia channel last night and eventually checked out your blog. Great music and thank you for sharing!
My father in law passed from ALS. This is a wrenching disease as I watched Mr. Robert go from an 80 year old strong farmer (beef cattle) to a man who had difficulty drawing a breath. So very sorry for y’all’s loss. Now you face loss of Miss Cindy. Y’all are young. But, your maturity and faith foundation will never fail you! Blessings!
Very impressed with this Morning Song Concert. Love the deep mellow tone of the fiddle and all of your beautiful playing and singing. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing this concert, thank you for sharing. 💝 Very gifted musical family.
Folks what you are seeing here is the reason so many people in these mountains went from the kitchen table to the grand old Opry unfortunately television truly hurt this kind of folk art
Oh my gosh that was beautiful!! You all are so talented. I have heard Paul play in some of your videos before but I never realized just how talented he is. He's really a great guitar player and his harmonies sounded great with Katie and Corie. Ms. Tipper your bass sounded great too. I could listen to you guys all day!!
Your music is amazingly beautiful and special. Reminds me of the music my family played and sang from the time i remember until life moved on in many directions. Makes me happy and a little sad, because all of them are gone now. Thankyou so much for bringing good memories back to me with your beautiful music. 🙏❤️
Love that your Family is keeping the rich traditions, songs, music and memories of the Appalachian people alive and well. Thx so much for sharing with all of us. 😊❤. PS… ‘No doubt in my mind, Pap is watching from above and beaming with pride.
About that first one... Those lyrics are really somethin' and I really like hearin' Katie singin' and that Harmony fills and lifts Me... and That's the Truth...
Thank so much for doing "I'll Never leave Harlan Alive." It was all I thought it would be. While your's and Patty Loveless's version and style differ, I just can't pick my favorite between the 2. Also, I really enjoyed Paul's "high lonesome" harmonies in the songs he sang. If the good Lord is willing, I'll catch a live show this summer.
Watching this Sunday morning cooking the kids breakfast and my five year old son his birthdays today he is in here with me and he is dancing we are both enjoying y’all’s music keep it up
You’re ready for your last song and I’ve LOVED hearing these songs! You’ve done such a wonderful job! I’m now enjoying the last one. It’s very pretty! Katie and Corie, you sing really pretty!
Brings memories when I was a child that my Dad and Mom would go down to my great grandma and my great aunt house down in Kentucky. I was raised in the suburbs but still had hills to climb and hollers to explore. The music I would hear down there in Eastern Kentucky. Good old moutain music. Your can tell where are ancestors are from because of the mountain music. Irish is my family ancestry and that's how the music comes from.
Golly Gee Whiz ! You guys are spot on I am glad to hear that sweet harmony again. A Fan of Wilson/ Pressly families in a big ole way. God bless you guys. Much love and prayers for each of you. A forever Fan Oldfirekeeper Great Smokey Mountains N.C 😊
in Heaven there is a choir that praises him, and on earth there is a family practicing, and performing. This must be what its like up there. Thank you, I truly love you.
This is pure beauty in music...at World Oceans Arts we love this! ...and a whole family of wonderful string players....so cool. Love hearing those great voices together !
Gave me chills when I heard the song the girls dedicated to the late David Kayner. When the Pressley girls harmonize together it just reaches down inside of my soul. ❤
I remember visiting my aunt Buluah and uncle woody playing in their basement. This brings back memories. It old a special sound I will always remember.
You guys are the cutest, thank you for making this concert for everyone on UA-cam to listen to. Your music is so wholesome and inspiring, it's been really cheering me up through the holidays too. I love how you act like it's no big deal how talented you all are!! 🙏🏽❤️
I love hearing y'all sing together and man that Uncle of yours sure can play that guitar. My favorite part is to watch when y'all are singing working on a building. I love to watch Katie shake her head while she sings the song I Love It keep up the good work

Harlan makes me 😢! It reminds me of Dad and the home I set in alone he left me and my girls! I think about how he hated hot days he had black lung so bad. When Fall comes he’d say “ now this is good breathing weather “! 😢❤
Long time since I listened to your wonderful family. But you are doing a beautiful job raising the girls. Enjoyed that beautiful music takes me back to my youth. Ernest Williams of Florida. Born and raised in Tuckasegee, NC Jackson County. 1939
