Yay for Penelope and her tail! When Carmy was on the phone earlier in the episode leaving his number for the fridge guy, he repeated the last few digits loudly, so at the end of the episode the audience knew the numbers he gave Clare were different.

Tasting history with max miller just did a video a few weeks ago on how a tire ( Michelin) company became the judge of fine dining. You should check it out.
Your hatred of "fancy" food is unjustified. No one would ever argue that it isnt overly expensive. That doesnt mean the food isnt good. It basically a time investment. If the restaurant spends a whole week working on a demi sauce from cooking down the bones to removing fat day after day. That sauce will be better than some store bought stuff. You are justified in thinking that the price is not justified but you cannot think it wont be better than the restaurant that just buys it from the store

Yeah, the hate is way overblown, and Claire is great imo. To play devil's advocate for at least the moderate Claire "haters" and not the crazy irrational ones, Claire does have some aspects of the played out manic pixie dream girl trope, as well as her role in unfolding plot, and her career where she somewhat feels unrealistic, underdeveloped, and underwritten in a show full of real feeling characters. It's been my anecdotal experience (with a sample size of around 20 people) that Claire apologists have tended to be men (I am a man), while light haters have been more women, and I chock some of that up to us getting Carmy's experience of her and seeing her through him. It's all pretty ridiculous though how much has been made of it and how obsessed and heated some people have gotten over it. Super great show though.
