Hi Heather, you always come up with the greatest tips! Yes, my body has changed too. These tips will definitely come in handy. So simple, but I hadn’t thought of ironing the hems of jeans to make sure you cut the legs even. Thanks. Love and Kindness, Teresa
I'm 73 and have recently started watching videos about dressing classy at a "certain" age. I lost over 43 pounds in the past year and a half and have an entirely new wardrobe! That's great and all, but I just didn't think I looked the way I wanted to . I didn't feel put together! Because I scheduled a trip to San Jose del Cabo with my granddaughter and her wife for this September, I began purchasing "beachy, resort, and dressier" clothing but really didn't know how to style them. And of all the sites out there, on the "looking great at 50 plus", I've only found two others besides yours that are actually helpful for me, my personality, height (short), and body type! We are all different and not every You Tuber will work for everyone. So, I just wanted to tell you that I'm very pleased with your presentation and the information you offer. I also really like your personality. 🙂 Thank you for the inspiration!
Great tips Heather ! I used to do that little hair tie in the Jean button area many years ago, and I had completely forgotten about it ! Thanks for the reminder !! 😄😄😄😄😄 I hope you three have a wonderful weekend !!! Kisses to Hurricane !
Love your videos! I use the Cinch It and it's a game changer! I am not a fan of the frayed pants cuff look, so I take my long pants to a tailor to have them tailored to fit my length requirements. I agree 100% with the idea of folding sleeves on blouses correctly. It looks so sloppy to just pull up the sleeves and have all that material bunched up. I always fold the sleeves. If you take the time to elevate your look, it becomes a habit and natural. I cannot stand women over 50 looking frumpy! I see it every single day and want to shake those folks and tell them to watch you. I also like your videos because you know things from being a former model. You have the insights for us over 50 gals. I wish your videos were shown in stores!
I think, it is not needed, to give this letteringtext in the Video. Your English is very clear, also your voice. I understand every Word. Greetings from Germany
My problem with size charts is that they seem to be for hourglass figures and I’m a rectangle. What tips do you have when my waist is a size 10 in the chart but my hips are a size 4 according to the chart?
Try to find jeans & pants that don't go in at the waist much. Stretchy tropical weight wool pants without a waistband are perfect. I find that many of the H&M jeans/pants are designed that way. Go by the photos. Read reviews.
Interesting. We need to swap stores/brands. I am pear shaped, and haven’t been able to buy bottoms that fit for the past 15-20 years. In my experience, ALL clothes assume your tummy is bigger than your hips. I can buy a size four that fits through the thighs and hips, then the pants or skirt rises straight up so that the waistband actually seems to flare out with all the excess. Often, even a size two can be snug through the rear, but STILL too big in the waist.
@@americafirst9144so where is everybody finding clothes that are smaller through the waist??? That’s what I need, but everything I try is far too big in the waist. Bottoms give me a big hoop around the waist, and tops are boxy and unflattering.
@@jaindeau772 LOL, I was trying to pick a pair of jeans from Land’s End, if that helps. I ended up ordering a size 10 and the jeans are huge in the hips, but comfy.
That hair tie on the buttons of the jeans won't work for me- when I have to go to the bathroom, I have to go NOW. No way I could get that undone in time!
Tip no.8: Don't wear synthetics, especially not polyester. It's the enemy for body and nature. It doesn't let your skin breathe and also chokes nature, because it's non-degradable. Ok. it's cheap but also looks like it - however heavy costs on the planet at the expense of several generations to come. And sorry, those tops do look rather unstylish and frumpy - a classy lady lady would never wear them. Buy less, but class.

That's the close captioning (CC) and you can turn it off easily
Instead of cuffing jeans I cut and distress them
