I agree... pantihose give a more finished look. If they're close to your skintone, I feel they look polished. Princess Catherine even wears them. 😊 I think it's not necessarily that they haven't caught on, it's that they're aren't currently "in style." I wear bare legs or pantihose. I'm not a fan of bronzers or self tanning products. I think at some point in the future, more women will start wearing them again.
@@lovingourage - It's regrettable that they have not caught on. Wearing hosiery -- even very expensive skin-color pantyhose -- actually ages you. Because the younger generations just don't wear it.
A handheld steamer removes wrinkles almost as well as a steam iron. Steaming is also a good first step to loosen stains before spot cleaning. I’ve tested this extensively, as I drink a lot of milky coffee and splashes happen! Good video, and I hope to hear a report on the conference.
As always Heather you have great tips and ideas ! I am one that wishes panty hose would come back in style because I am so very pale and I am allergic to every self tanner I have ever tried. I hate having my legs bare with a nice dress !!! I also wash all my delicates on the delicate cycle in a mesh bag and hang them to dry. And I never dry any stretchy jeans or tops, workout clothes etc. I have a very inexpensive drying rack that I love and it holds a bunch of clothes. I got it at Aldi several years ago for about $10.00 ! Thanks for what you do Heather ! I hope you and Bill have a fabulous week and as always, kisses to Hurricane !!! 💕💕💕😘😘😘😘
Love the steam idea. The conference on Aging Well was in it's infancy stage but it's so interesting how big companies and people young and old are on board to help the older generation be less invisible
Also hand wash or use mesh bags for bras. Hang dry. Also hang my white blouses and tees in the sun to dry, helps keep them bright and white. I have to add ironing to the things that make our clothes look better and fresher. Blouses especially look better when ironed. Often iron down the jeans pockets. I know many people that do not own an iron and it shows! Just an unpopular opinion!
It's pronounced "San Tropay"! LOL! Agree about the shoes!! I have a white pair of Adidas sneakers that I check after each use and wipe off if there is any dirt on them. I find if I do this right away the dirt will not set and is easy to remove with a damp cloth or sneaker cleaner cloths. They still look new and I get compliments on them all the time. Thank you for the fun video!
I wash my spandex/cotton jeans in cold water and dry them on the lowest dryer setting. I don't have space to hang them. I have a wood drying rack that I use for my more delicate items: certain tops, lingerie, etc. I stopped wearing dresses years ago because I'm short, and the cost of hemming kept increasing. Having to add $40+ on to the cost of a dress didn't work for me. Thanks for another great video, Heather.
I don’t put any of my clothes in the dryer. I hang them outside when it’s a nice day. I treat my clothes like they’re all silk. I have many silk items, but I love the way they feel on the body.
My mother had very bad varicose veins, but they disappeared when she wore sheer nude pantyhose. A lot of women are missing out by not wearing pantyhose.
Buy the shapewear where you can wear your own bra and it has straps so it won't roll. I have a couple at amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 in my "Undies & Shapewear Section" Enjoy!
Me, too. I line dry a lot of my sweaters and tops, but I'm definitely not line drying my jeans. I don't have space for that, and they take forever to dry.

I think as we get older we look after our clothes better and they last longer. Thanks Heather you are a ray of sunshine.
What a lovely thing to say!
I am older. No I don't want to hang clothes. Yes Heather is wonderful. This is just something I personally don't want to do.
I'm one of those ladies who believes a dressy outfit is unfinished with bare legs. Hose are expensive. But they finish off a look imo
I do wear black hose in the Winter but the skin color pantyhose have not caught on again unfortunately, but wear them if it makes you feel comfortable

That’s a great tip about steam removing stains ! I gotta try that !!! Thanks !!

Always appreciate your input Lisa. Hurricane got a haircut yesterday and is so frisky. He still thinks he's a puppy! LOL
The blazer with the satin skirt is such a great idea! Completely covered in the stomach area!
I agree. Glad you liked the tip!

Thanks so much for sharing these great tips!
I actually enjoy ironing - although I just stick to shirts/blouses mostly. A uniformed shirt just looks like you’re wearing your dirty laundry!
@@gailwilliams5278 I just put on something to watch and iron away!

Thanks for the correction and your input on care of your shoes
I love your positive energy!❤
Thanks!
Great video. I too would like pantyhose to come back. Tights are a good alternative though.
True!
I agree with you about jeans. I also wash my black and dark blue jeans inside out so they don’t fade as much.
Good point!
You’re wearing my favorite Nautica dress! BTW, the wash/stretch idea worked to lengthen it juuuust enough! 😉☺️
Yay!! So glad to hear that!!
Thanks Heather for the reminders and tips. Great video! Love and Kindness, Teresa
You are so welcome Teresa, have a great rest of your weekend!

Thank you for the great tips, Heather!
You are so welcome!
I agree. Clean shoes important 🎉🎉
I just bought 3 pr of Clarks slipons. Comfy, easy to clean
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for all the tips!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for another very helpful video. I'm trying to find the blue dress with white polka dots. That dress is so cute! Enjoy your weekend!
You can check the Dresses Section at Amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 (it's a Gowntown dress) there are lots of colors but the polkadot sizes are limited
@@lovingourage These dresses are so cute! I checked the sizing chart and these days my body is way out of proportion. I've always loved this style!
Always great tips❤. Now I just need advice on what to wear for my casual 50th reunion! Help! It's in October
I'll have a Fall trends video probably next week that could help. Just a little trendy but classy always works
Thank you for the helpful tips!
Glad it was helpful Jackie!
Ive been using olive oil on my body. Try it 😊
Thanks Heather! 💚☘️☘️
Have a great weekend Cary!
Thanks for the pep talk 😊. I just have a real problem ignoring the wrinkles....😂😂
Think of them as your story lines.
Ikr? I look so much better when I look in the mirror without my glasses on! 😂
Great tips
Glad you like them!
Your hair looks lovely and you have a nice glowy face 🌟
Thank you so much 🙂

?? 4:21 I just switched to the metal wire hangers just because they take way less space, so I can fit more ib my closed now...
I use self tanning moisturizer all yr
Nice haircut 😊
Thank you 😁
No metal hangers on my house
I hardly ever use a dryer.

I handwash my expensive bras also
Hi Heather. You look great
I'd like to know more about shapewear. I can't seem to find the right size. It always rolls and never stays in place. Help!
Buy the shapewear where you can wear your own bra and it has straps so it won't roll. I have a couple at amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 in my "Undies & Shapewear Section" Enjoy!
Hi Heather
I am not line drying my entire wardrobe. I will just by new stuff.
Me, too. I line dry a lot of my sweaters and tops, but I'm definitely not line drying my jeans. I don't have space for that, and they take forever to dry.
What about low heat in a dryer? That's what I do.
I haven't tried that but remember that it's elastic like an elastic band) so that's why I prefer it on a towel. They dry quickly anyway
@@lovingourageJeans take 3 days to air dry in my climate. They're going in the dryer. I haven't had any problems.
I never understood why jean companies make pockets white.. Why can't they make them either black or jean colored?
True!
I hate sloppy pockets
this digressed from the theme
