- Saosin performing the full Translating the Name EP in order for the first time ever; Seven Years, Translating the Name, 3rd Measurement in C, Lost Symphonies, and They Perched on Their Stilts, Pointing and Daring Me to Break Custom live from night 1 of 2 of their special 20th Anniversary Shows at the sold out Garden Amp in Garden Grove, CA on June 17, 2023. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII, on-camera audio mixed with externally recorded audio. The first two songs featured founding bassist Zach Kennedy, and Donovan from Hail the Sun performed on the title track.

@@gumborambo4540saw them last night (I also saw them play taste of chaos in 07). It was the best they have played. They legit looked like they were having fun. If they play the “reimagined worst of me” I’m curious what you think. It’s one of the coolest songs I’ve heard them play.

Where is Justin Shekolski? That is his music. Very bad divorce with the dude. He/ drummer + vocals (Anthony or Cove) is what made Saosin.
He hasn't been in the band for 7 years. And Beau is the one that wrote all the guitar parts anyway.
Shekoski is one of the best guitarists out there, it would’ve been awesome to have him there

Dude they never ever play 3rd measurement. Cove was so pissed at me at house of blues in 06. I drove through a snow storm to see them and bleeding through and all I wanted was to hear 3rd measurement. Cove stopped and said we don't play that anymore.
They've played it at literally every show since Anthony came back to the band.
Pretty sure cove is just a douche. I saw him with dead American when they were touring with D.R.U.G.S. And I went up to him at the merch stand and said hey man great set thanks for the show. He replies “if you liked it buy a shirt” and stared at me.
I felt like going “you’ll never be Anthony.”

@@19NineLives95 Couple of crowd killers the first night. The main offender left after causing a huge problem in the set. Deliberately hurting people, being a drunken asshole, etc.

Anthony can still hit all the notes, he’s just doing a lot more than most by switching between screams and cleans in the same line
I'm sure he can, but it just makes everyone's life easy. Live shows have long gone from showing "I can hit those notes" (specially a Saosin show) more to a "let's just enjoy this moment" @@Ravelle17

Love AG but the band needs to tell him he dont want soft AG while playing these songs lol we want screaming AG, he phoned in most of this set and i've seen him play these songs live with WAY more intensity....when I saw him he screamed every lyric and it sounded like the album
Cove is better than Anthony
This band died when Anthony left. Nothing they did after means anything to anyone that matters. When people talk about SAOSIN - they mean this EP.

@@circaen BRO you're insane, Cove is a true musican in Saosin. Anthony coming back is not a passion of Anthony. I saw them in San Francisco I think in December; As a musician, I saw that Cove has heart for music and performing, Anthony ironically was the corporate guy, just doing a job, and was weird by saying thank you like he was your aunt. Cove was the classic starving music, powered by the desire to share his pain. F*** Anthony.

@@dannygibson2597not really though. Cove’s sound was comparable, and the original release of bury your head did make that seem the case, but I think he was doing his own thing after that.
