Yes please do all the things you do, you are the only one that opens everything up and shows bed, toilet and shower Demos it makes a difference thanks for all the hard work 😊
I'm a broken record on this channel: I love RW but will probably never own one. 780 dry tongue weight on a 24 ft trailer is outrageous. Full tanks, batteries and gear and it's probably 1,000. Many half tons will not be able to tow this safely. If RW is listening, make some changes so that tongue weights aren't so high on the ratio with trailer weight. All that aside, thanks Josh!!
Yes!! The combo of narration behind the camera and the demo in parts of the Rv … like the murphy beds and baths. Wish more RV reviewers did it. Nice work! Love the camper.
Nerd please don’t change a thing you do an awesome job and it’s very appreciated. Like the changes. And Rockwood is a manufacturer that, I would definitely consider because they listen.
Yes! Yes! Yes!💥💥💥Finally, a comfortable sofa or theater seating “option” for the outdated diner booth dinette for most couples who do not go to bed at the “exact” same time and need an additional relaxing place to sit and read or watch TV👍👍👍
I would keep the counter extension and the make the table rise to the counter top level. That would increase kitchen work space. I don’t know how that could be accomplished, but it would be great. I like a lot of the features in this one. It is amazing how they keep improving. I enjoy your presentations! Keep up the good work.

We owned a mini lite 2507s in the past. The walk-in pantry was great, ( changed it now,) and outside kitchen we liked. The Murphy bed we hated. We now own a Rockwood 2606ws and love it. Miss the outside kitchen but love the overall room especially when you stay in it 3 months down south. Double dinofa?????? Double bish Reward points👍 Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
I can’t believe that this is the exact same length as my MiniLite 2205S but has a “Murphy bed” plus theater seating💥💥💥If only they came out with this floorplan in 2020😂😂😂
We passed on the 2104s because of the bathroom and fridge situation. Ended up with a 2507s. I reallly like the changes they made here. Fitting the larger bathroom in a smaller trailer is a huge plus. If this trailer existed 2 years ago, I still think we would have passed on it though. Love my outdoor kitchen and the drop frame on the 2507s.
Hey there Josh, this weekend I came across 2 different grandmother's camping. One with just their grandkids and the other with their daughter and grandkids. I thought that was awesome especially being a female solo camper myself. So add single grandparent taking the grandkids along to that list 😊
I literally set up in interest. This is a great floorplan. Maybe not perfect, but the more a trailer can do the larger it gets. This one seems to have balanced the compromises well.
As a couple's camper, it should have an elevated breakfast bar countertop on the side of the peninsula, and that would seriously increase usefulness for the hide-a-bed and recliner options. I'd still get the dinette myself most likely because my youngest is only 20 and still takes trips with us, but for a couple's camper that change would make the double recliners option in particular more useful. Move the commode over away from the shower by 6 inches. You've got the space, and it would make using the commode better for everybody, but especially for the "abdominally enhanced" as it were. No matter what you do with the gas stove (which I'd always prefer to keep), the microwave should be replaced across the product lines with air-fryer/convection microwaves. It's not that much more expensive, and it's a LOT more versatile in the small kitchens that travel trailers have to have. The shower-mizer ought to be replicated on the kitchen sink too, but that's just me I guess. Honestly, it should be in houses for the very same reason because wasting water is wasting water.
A pretty solid unit all around, I think they did everything right that they could here. If I bought this one I'd wish for an enclosed docking station, but I realize it's outside the scope of this series and there really isn't much room for it. Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh, and the Bed Goblin Union sends their regards.
We were able to see this at the Hershey show. What a great change from the 2104S !They fixed the small bathroom issue that the 2104s had and now this unit should sell very well!
Thanks again Josh, Love the full descriptions and demo od all the features. These mini and micro lights have a lot of value is a small space, especially the tandem axles. Can't wait for what else Rockstaff is doing for 2025.
Had a mini, ours was just called a "real-lite", of this size for several years, it is a great first trailer! Just big enough to do most of what RV life is about, for us anyway. Yes, we eventually went bigger, only because it opened our horizons and I don't regret our time with it at all. Also, we got great trade value!
Keep doing what you do on the videos. You are the best in the business. As a 2104 owner this address the bathroom issue and keeps all the good features. Way to go Rockwood.
Super minor note on the water miser for future videos. As a long time user now I find the most handy part is that I am not filling the grey tank while the shower heats up. Just thought I’d mention that as that system extends my traditional park camping days before hitting the dump station more so than helps me boondocking. Just my personal experience.
@@JoshtheRVNerd truth, just thought I’d drop that in as it’s a super handy feature for the guy who is slugging grey tanks on long trips. Didn’t seem fair to just say it’s kinda a boondocking thing… honestly, I don’t really care while I’m boondocking… I’ve never ran out of water
Small + sweet = a very nice treat. Well done! Thanks for explaining about the bathroom door. First thing I noticed and it was irking me lol. Appreciate you Josh! Have a blessed day!
Hiiii Josh! Thanks for another episode of Josh the RV Nerd! You make my day! Love the scenario you gave with the "Self-inflicted chemical warfare?" 😅 I appreciate the picture you painted with that and note taken!! But- with all that being said I would have preferred a pocket door there. Would have worked better. In my humble opinion. I like the color's on this one. I'm tired of the all white look. Glad they warmed things up in this one. Like the tandem axels, solar, and covered slides. Outdoor kitchen, too? 👍 "Guttless wonder? And the lone crap tap ?" 😂 You should consider stand-up comedy as a side hustle. Like for real! Take care, and I'll be waiting for the next episode! Have a great week! 😊
The wife and I really like our Palomini but after seeing the Rockwood 2109 and this one we’re starting to think we should probably upgrade. Great video!
Damn… hitch weight at 780 is a lot. Gonna be close for payload capacity. I want the old 2104 maybe as a first hard side but husband thinks it’s cramped. But we’re not upgrading from the 1500 to a 2500 truck. This may be a solid maybe.
Think of azdel like Kleenex You sometimes pay more for a brand name when an equivalent less expensive option exists Wasn’t service related by any means
Love the cabinet holdback hardware, wish mine had those as well as the slam latches. I’m 6’2” - 245# so I definitely like the toilet, shower and bed demos.
Nice. Love the huge u dienet. The bed is great. The storge is good. Nice living apace. Like the bathroom. not a fan of not a lot door side The Xl vet fan great! windows. Like the bigger oven. Nice small rv easy to tow thank you josh!
I like the demos! Really appreciate it. Once in a while it would be nice to see a slide demo. So about the windshield behind the murphy bed. The setup is great. Bed stays down 85% of the time. You get that nice looking window. For that other 15%, it's for when guests come over or when it's raining and everyone is inside. I don't need to look out side when it's raining. And when I have guests, we hang outside in the day and inside at night. Don't need the window after dark.
Hey, THANKS Nerd! 🤓 And yes, while you don’t see the window with the bed up - It is still nice to have one! My one question, is why put the commode 🚽 off center like that? I get the cabinet door, but holy heck that would be better a wee bit more centered and you could still open that cabinet! 😊 Ahhhh! 1:20 Why? They added an Azdel equivalent, yet put the dump valves outside exposed. 😢
Very nice! I wish they made a MiniLite with a similar slightly longer floor plan to the E Pro E19FD. I would love to buy a MiniLite with that same bathroom and Murphy bed in a “slideless” MiniLite. 🙏
I wouldn’t care for making up my bed everyday. Nicely laid out though. On another note, I really dislike the trend of white RV;s again - camping in a sunny area next to a white RV is blinding and hot. We have a 2020 Shasta 25RK- love it, love the colour, we get a lot of compliments on and our neighbours are blessed that we are not reflecting light into their campsite😁
Josh, I really appreciate how you give the master bed a test drive to show if/how you fit. Can you start doing that on other beds? I'd like to see if the dinettes are adult sized, as it looks like some are and I am sure many are not.
Great Review... having owned the Flagstaff 21DS, I think they really improved the bathroom. Would have liked to have seen a better couch for the murphy bed because that seems to have been completely ignored as they've improved other parts. Still not a fan of the storage up front but love the storage on the slide out!
Is there enough room for a mattress topper and the bedding in the fold up Murphy bed???? I love this camper! Especially the storage, the dinette, the bigger better out house!!!!
Thanks Nerd! I do like when you demo the Murphey bed, but if you wanted to demo for each brand that has a similar style across models and refer back to the full demo on another video it would work for me as well. Very nice Rockwood!!
Super nice! I love the colors and layout. If they'd only made it 8" longer so the murphy bed would layout when in road mode... Hitch weight is a little heavy for the length in my opinion, but super nice rig! This is exactly what I had in mind regarding my 'boondocking' line of rv's :) Thanks for sharing!
One of the things that always stopped us with RockStaff was the bathrooms had radius showers. It is good to see a rectangular one. If they could make the cabinet in the slide narrower so a permanent queen bed would fit and change the dinette to a jackknife recliner this would hit most all of the buttons for us. My only concern as with other RockStaff trailers is they tend to run heavy on the tongue weight. This particular trailer's loaded tongue weight wouldn't bother our current F-150 but it would have been close on our previous one with its 1150 lb hitch receiver rating.
Love the extra detailed footage with demos. Do you know what would make for an interesting nerdy video? We’ve seen factory tours on “how” the manufacturers build a quality camper; but a “tour” (if you would) of the design process of creating these different floor plans and what all goes on behind the scenes in creating them would be interesting. Ok, so i’ve become an RV nerd student. It’s all your fault professor nerd 😂
Interesting new floorplan. I'd definitely go with the 2nd sofa or recliners instead of the dinette, but then I'm squarely in the anti-dinette camp. Love the Mini Lites even though I've never been a fan of the frameless windows. I wish the bed could stay down during transit...that's a miss for them. I like the kitchen and bathroom layout. Another thing that is always an issue with Mini Lites/Macro Lite models is the bumper-mounted spare tire. The 'accessory hitch' is worthless with the space tire mounted on the bumper right next to it. Mount the tire up higher on the rear wall of the trailer so that if you want to use a bike rack or cargo rack in the accessory hitch mount, the spare tire is not in the way (and you don't have to remove the tire and put it somewhere else!!!). Still waiting on the 2025 Rockwood 2513S video!! #nerdherd
Nice layout, if and only if your lifestyle is compatible with a murphy bed. If you are a couple, it only really works if you both go to bed at the same time. With the murphy bed down, the other seatng is an uncomfortable dinette. But then I'm not sure why a couple needs a dinette anyway. Theater seats plus breakfast bar would be better. But then you have seating for 4 when the bed is up. Ever have guests? That's why they make different models. Different strokes for different folks.
First, LOVE your humor coming into the bathroom intro. 14 rv's here in 33 years, so our picks & hits on this unit... Murphy bed good. It needs to accept a residential queen. Loose the U-dinette & go to a booth dinette or optiin a couple decent swivel rockers. 12cu.ft. 'fridge is phenomonol for the size of the trailer but is (likely?) 12v. Useless for alot of use, would still like to option an 8cu.ft. rv 'fridge. Ceiling fans we'd option a 3spd. manual in/out fan instead of out only. TV is a bit small, 40-42" would be good. Bathroom sinks are WAY too small for any use other than washing your hands, and minimally at that. Useless for those of us with large hands or spitting toothpaste without hitting your head on a medicine cabinet. Hot water heater should be optioned out with a 6-8 gal. lp/120vac or lp dsi.
@@JoshtheRVNerd it’s a direct dump. It’s a 2 speed model, and the first speed doesn’t count. I’m hoping that one day they make a heat pump air conditioner for RV use.
I would prefer it if the toilet were centered (equidistant) between the cabinet door and the shower door - giving more elbow room, and that the pop up counter could be longer.
@JoshtheRVNerd well, since they design and place everything else, they should be able to figure out how to do it... I don't think it's rocket science 😕
Great videos Josh. Thank you. We might just pull the trigger on this beautiful 2214S. A couple quick questions: 1) Can that dinette table get a little shaky? 2) I know from watching your videos that you can’t use the dinette with the slide retracted, but can you step lightly on it to swing around the island to access the fridge and bathroom? Keep up the incredible work.
Finally no radius shower! 🎉 This is nice and what would make it better. Would be if the bedroom had a partition with a door. One other little thing that is needed, a camp side kitchen. #nerdherd
Why won’t FlagWood option in a REMOTE CONTROL ceiling fan? It’s already wired and essentially is the same fan with a remote. Doing the knee walk across the mattress is something that geriatric gigolos don’t do well.
Hi Josh, have you done a video explaining solar in regards to fridges and how much solar the panel brings in to the battery and how much and how long a fridge can run on solar? Sorry for the run-on question. Thank you for the great videos you put out and all the helpful tips you offer!!
Control panel should be higher, out of the reach of kids. Circuit breaker/fuse box should be about eye height, with a battery powered light and diagram. Murphy bed should be a full size queen.
Non opening bathroom window? U Shaped Dinette instead of a standard two bencher dinette? Square shower in a full width bathroom? 👍 Also, that's my personal favorite murphy bed setup, awesomeness.👍 Square sink? 👍 Storage galorage from ceiling to floorage? 👍 Can't wait to see the price! Thanks nerd!
Thank you for this, I’ve been patiently waiting for the walk thru lol ! Should we be concerned that Azdel is no longer being used, I thought that was the best in the market. What exactly is Forest River using in its place and how does it compare ? Thanks again 😊
You know how Kleenex is the name brand of a facial tissue? Plenty of other good ones out there, right? Azdel is just the name brand composite. Plenty of other good stuff out there
Ya know… those use a boatload more propane, most are rated at 60,000 btu’s. Add too that tankless doesn’t mean on demand, instant or endless hot water like home tankless hot water heaters.
Yeah I know the downsides. I have a fiver with one now. I guess I’m a long shower guy. No anode rod is also nice. Like all things trailer, it’s a trade off. Like I have to have the electric fireplace but most of my friends couldn’t care less. Love the Rockwood products otherwise. If I go to bumper tow someday it’ll be a Rockwood.
That's a really well though out Trailer. Lots of storage, especially for the pantry. The only thing I worry about is the front windows on these trailers getting hit with a rock. My F150 is like a rock magnet. How much would it cost to replace one of those windows if it gets hit? Having moved away from Azdel is there composite still not able to delaminate?
😍same floor plan as my Coleman but 5.74% nicer feature and quality wise than mine. Question: does the shower door slide to the opposite side to give more elbow room while on the toilet?
Love the design minus the Murphy bed- does anyone make a trailer under 26’ with this kind of layout with a queue that can be left down in road mode. It’s not news but the jackknife sofas are junk and extremely uncomfortable.
Thanks so much Uncle Josh! Do you have a video of the new Mini Lite 2506 FK model! I love me a rear bedroom! And one more question… you mentioned no more Azdell in Rockwoods in 2025 😮 Say it aint so! Do you think the new composite is just as good…???

😃
One of the things that always stopped us with RockStaff was the bathrooms had radius showers. It is good to see a rectangular one.
If they could make the cabinet in the slide narrower so a permanent queen bed would fit and change the dinette to a jackknife recliner this would hit most all of the buttons for us.
My only concern as with other RockStaff trailers is they tend to run heavy on the tongue weight. This particular trailer's loaded tongue weight wouldn't bother our current F-150 but it would have been close on our previous one with its 1150 lb hitch receiver rating.
As they retire old models and make new ones it seems they’re focusing on rectangular showers
Thanks Josh. Also looking at 2205S and Power Package option
Good rig
Good video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
HEY Thanks Nerd
You bet
We need more bunkhouses pls! :)
..but seriously thanks for the uploads and content your the best 👍🏼
More to come!
The 2511s would be awesome with an outdoor kitchen and a lower TV. Also 15" tires would be great. Please let your contacts know Josh. Thanks!
Will do
@@JoshtheRVNerdOH, and move the refrigerator back forward.😮
Just looked thier site, there's 9 floorplans under 26' that I would have!😮😮😮❤❤❤
Yeah all mini lites are 25’11” or less
I like it
Ty!
Well i dont know who ask for the TV up so high and a murphy bed...but not my cup o tea. Rest of it is pretty nice
Ty. I keep hoping mfgs drop tv heights soon
#nerdherd
I’ve had a hard time getting ahold of that one this past year. We are always sold out
@@JoshtheRVNerd That's because they're 😎
HUGE improvement. I always liked the 2104 but HATE HATE HATE corner baths. I got a fat american ass
Yeah different ideas for different people. Thank you for watching!
Love all the input. Ty!!
My Coleman Mach air conditioner sounds like a 747 taking off!😮
Weird.. that’s never been my experience
Is it ducted or direct dump?
@@JoshtheRVNerd it’s a direct dump. It’s a 2 speed model, and the first speed doesn’t count. I’m hoping that one day they make a heat pump air conditioner for RV use.
I would prefer it if the toilet were centered (equidistant) between the cabinet door and the shower door - giving more elbow room, and that the pop up counter could be longer.
I like that idea too. Not sure if there’s a reason like conflict with something below that requires the off center
@JoshtheRVNerd well, since they design and place everything else, they should be able to figure out how to do it... I don't think it's rocket science 😕
I like.
Table is floating with adjustable feet so it depends on how you use it
Ideally you just don’t want to be in the slide while it’s retracted - better to just briefly crack it open and walk past
Finally no radius shower! 🎉
This is nice and what would make it better. Would be if the bedroom had a partition with a door. One other little thing that is needed, a camp side kitchen.
#nerdherd
Try the 2513S!
Why won’t FlagWood option in a REMOTE CONTROL ceiling fan? It’s already wired and essentially is the same fan with a remote. Doing the knee walk across the mattress is something that geriatric gigolos don’t do well.
💯 %!
Good idea
ticks all the boxes. sweet. slide is the only hiccup but tolerable.
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 ❤ 🎉
Hi Josh, have you done a video explaining solar in regards to fridges and how much solar the panel brings in to the battery and how much and how long a fridge can run on solar? Sorry for the run-on question. Thank you for the great videos you put out and all the helpful tips you offer!!
Not specifically but that’s a good idea
@@JoshtheRVNerd this trend of forced solar for fridges requires a hooked-on-phonics style tutorial for some of us! Propaaaaane😩
Got to keep the demonstration think it helps
Ty
After watching a million Josh videos & visiting Hershey RV show I had my heart set on a 2104, but...this is nice...23'10" hmmmm
It's slightly bigger (barely) but I feel like the bathroom setup is so much better
@JoshtheRVNerd the 780# tongue weight seems like a lot for F150 xlt too
I think it’s fair to say that you like a lot lot of brands. But I think you’re kind of sweet on this brand.
Pound for pound I think Rockwood is one of the best brands overall out there
Nice, but I'll keep my 2507!
I probably wouldn’t replace a 2507 for this either
Control panel should be higher, out of the reach of kids. Circuit breaker/fuse box should be about eye height, with a battery powered light and diagram. Murphy bed should be a full size queen.
I like all of that
Non opening bathroom window?
U Shaped Dinette instead of a standard two bencher dinette?
Square shower in a full width bathroom? 👍
Also, that's my personal favorite murphy bed setup, awesomeness.👍
Square sink? 👍
Storage galorage from ceiling to floorage? 👍
Can't wait to see the price!
Thanks nerd!
My pleasure! enjoy
They almost did it. They needed to center that toilet, it needs to be more travel friendly. What is that floor and roof made of?
Please find a 2519s! Love your videos
I have video done and hopefully coming soon. Trying to work through a bunch of footage.
@@JoshtheRVNerd yess! I should have known you would never let us down!
Plenty of other good stuff out there
Tankless water heater Rockwood. Then you’d have me.
Hi Josh, do you have something similar that has an opening bathroom window. Love the quality of the mini lite.
I can’t recall which models have bath windows
Maybe poke around the ibex or surveyor lines?
just heard about the 2519S hope you get to do a review of one soon
Video done. Coming soon
@JoshtheRVNerd perfect! was in between a 2509s and a 2616bh. and that one looks too be the mash up of the two
That's a really well though out Trailer. Lots of storage, especially for the pantry. The only thing I worry about is the front windows on these trailers getting hit with a rock. My F150 is like a rock magnet. How much would it cost to replace one of those windows if it gets hit? Having moved away from Azdel is there composite still not able to delaminate?
Same type of material. Just not the azdel brand name
Think generic ibuprofen Instead of some brand name. Same drug. Less expensive
😍same floor plan as my Coleman but 5.74% nicer feature and quality wise than mine. Question: does the shower door slide to the opposite side to give more elbow room while on the toilet?
I cannot 100% recall but I feel like that shower door CAN shift
Once again it's Rockwood saying to the industry "Catch us if you can" .... not likely!
😂
Love the design minus the Murphy bed- does anyone make a trailer under 26’ with this kind of layout with a queue that can be left down in road mode. It’s not news but the jackknife sofas are junk and extremely uncomfortable.
Maybe just a different mini lite?
2513? 2205?
Thanks so much Uncle Josh! Do you have a video of the new Mini Lite 2506 FK model! I love me a rear bedroom! And one more question… you mentioned no more Azdell in Rockwoods in 2025 😮 Say it aint so! Do you think the new composite is just as good…???
I do have video coming yes
They swapped from azdel last year. Everything is fine
They’re just not paying for the azdel name
Think of azdel like Kleenex
It’s a known name brand
There are other equivalent and less expensive products available
The toilet should be centered on the wall, its too close to the shower
