Thank you for your video Dan. I am a multimedia professional at a graduate school in the U.S and we have a healthy number of Chinese students who move here to complete their MBAs. We assist with their acclimation to the business culture here and it is helpful to understand their perspective so we can better grasp what they might struggle with during their transition. I've quietly been a viewer of many of your videos since you spoke at Stylecon this past year. You took the time to speak with many people individually, myself included. Your book 'FU Money' has been filled with great actionable advice (the written exercises you included are also very formative). Thank you for the words of wisdom as well as the time and resources you have invested in giving back.
This is great information. I work in the US Tourism industry and Chinese visitors are very important to us. I always tell others that the China market is relationship based and it takes time. But having clients become friends makes the sales process more like a conversation. Great tips.
It's as if a polar opposite Universe of culture. The "Exchange" happens in the middle once the layers of the "Onion" skin are removed. People are people but.. CULTURE is the barrier of Trust and Identity.... GREAT CONTENT guys -- keep it up -- Thank you
Hi Dan, I love the value you are creating and releasing for free, it is much appreciated. My questions for you are: I hear a lot about haggling among street vendors and local merchants, but how does that translate to larger entities? Is the haggling culture as prominent when dealing with corporations vs small business? Also, when hanging out, drinking, and showing potential associates who I am as a person, are there any common cultural indicators that would help me recognize whether I am making progress or about to step on a landmine? Thank you for all the hard work you do for the community on top of your other business interests!
I love this show Dan Lok keep doing your thing. Please keep uploading more my goal is to watch every one of decode China because it helps me understand and better relate with my Chinese friends. Thanks Dan! By the way very nice touch with the glasses of wine. However, I don’t drink alcohol. Will it be impolite if I don’t accept their alcohol?
For me, with the Chinese in general is I'm very open minded. They love my very adaptable personality being serious, informative and funny at the right moments. They always come up to me and wish for small chat. But that is just my life here. But this video teaches a small insight on how to be more respectable towards the Chinese. 🇨🇳👲 10/15/2017 -Gregory M.
Hi Dan, thank you for the great tips. I work with Chinese clients every day on immigration matters. As we need to work with government and there processing times but I constantly have this battle, everything is urgent yet the time frame was communicated in advance. Any tips you can share on this constant urgency, or the word commonly used is 'push' them. It would be nice to understand this. Thank you.

Mubiru, Remember: Trust is built and maintained by many small actions over time.
