Jerusalem Sage: You Need It!

- The Jerusalem Sage quickly became one of my favorite plants for central Texas landscapes. The beautiful, yellow whorls of flowers are unique and in shape and vibrant in color. The silvery gray foliage is not too shabby either. They love full sun and can be quite drought tolerant, once established. Prune them after the blooms fade and it will encourage new growth. Deer typically will not eat it and its moderate size of 3-4 feet x 3-4 feet makes it a great shrub for most yards.
Just got one, can't wait to see it flower ! Thanks for the video 😊
THANK YOU
Good info 🌱
I live in central Texas and my experience is that while it likes sun, it likes some relief in the afternoon. This past summer almost killed my plant. Since I haven’t been able to offer any relief from the sun, I wasn’t sure where to plant it. The Pride of Barbados likes 6 to 10 hours of sun.
Hey kirk 👋
Hi there, I have some questions please. Is this plant/flowers edible. Does the flower have seeds so you can propagate, thanks x
do you know when to prune it ? thanks !
