- I'll tell you what I really think about the new Molten basketballs. I'm not happy and find out why in the video. It's also my very first "smart watch". Never found a need for it to be honest but I'm stoked about this new Samsung toy. Lazada purchase!

You are correct, the BG4000 is more responsive, and has controlled bouncy if you like. Because its doesnt have foam insert. The benefits are more lively but a little noisy. The 4500 which Has a foam insert is more quite but a little lazy.
for me GG7x is the best ball , i just dont like how slippery and bad grip on the new ball, and i think the new ball more heavy than the old ball.🙃😂

I agree that the BG 4000 initially is a better basketball. I also had the same impression BUT the BG 4500 is the far superior ball as soon as the break in period is over.
Hey man, just wondering how it holds up on concrete court? My girl bought this expensive ass ball and I have a concrete court. I dont wanna exchange it though cause at least she tried. How does it compare to lets say the GG7x cause i used that and its pretty decent concrete.
I used my molten ball outside for a few weeks and it’s not the best as the leather is peeling. It’s also moulding and losing color.
BG 5000 is the Flagship/ top of the line not the 4500.
Same here. GG7X is way superior, better grip, feel, bounce and texture!
It is a shame it was discontinued!
the GG7x you've had for 2 years. Is it still grippy? I have NEVER seen a composite leather basketball last for more than 3 months without completely losing it's grippiness. So far in 19 years of searching only the Nike True Grip maintains its grip until its dying day but they don't make those anymore.
Well, if you play it on concrete it would not last that long
@@cavsgang1276 Sucks that I can't find a ball like the Nike True Grip. This lasted me 4 years of playing on concrete playing 2-3x a week except summers.
I recently got the BG3200 and was shocked how slippery and non-grippy it was, I know it's not top tier when it comes to the new models of Molten but never expected such low quality. Took it and immediately replaced it with the GG7X since I train with that one and I know how good it is. I can't believe the BG4000 and the ones above suck (pardon my French) as well. What's up with Molten? 😛
Well I was looking for comment like this. I’m really good hooper and I’m one of the best and very important players on my team. Some of the last games we used to play with Molten BG4000, and it changed view of basketball for one period for me. I thought I had some problems with sweating, because these new Moltens can’t handle sweat, and i averaged about 10 points per game in that period. After I talked with coach, we changed ball with Wilson Solution and other better Moltens, and I immediately came back on 20 points per game and up. I don’t know what is happening also with Molten and why did they launch this model of ball, but only thing to do in this situations is to switch ball and don’t worry 👍

That's also my choice of brand back when I used to play ball. Not particular about the model though.
I bought BG3800. One thing i noticed is that even my hands is wet due to sweating, hindi dumudulas sa kamay ko yung bola. Unlike sa GG7X, when your hands is already wet dumudulas na. Try it men. Good job by molten for improving the grip. 👍👍👍
Ahh wow, I'll have to observe better. Madulas kasi nung nagka sweat na, sa experience ko. Maybe depende narin sa circumstances. Thanks for the comment. It's not a totally bad ball. Cheers.

I just bought this BG4000 near Quiapo Church for just 1,700.00 pesos only. The store is legit and most of the sports equipments that they're selling are from they so-called "Bodega" and they also mentioned that they have a particular person who works from the bodega who's they're supplier.
Compairing BG4000 and BG4500, yeah it seems BG4000 is better than BG4500. This guy's saying is legit. I also go to that store and they say that the molten discontinue the GG-Series and the new basketball now is the BG-Series

Yeah that's an accurate head to head. The sales guy at the time told me that the top ball was already the 4500. Geez.

Hey Sean, what's the name of that hat you're wearing if you don't mind me asking. I really like it. Also have you tried using the Molten GL7X which is all Leather? or even the Molten BG5000 which is also Leather. Those are the best Indoor balls from Molten but i gotta tell you it's gonna take a lot months and playing time to break in the balls. Once the leather ball is broken in, it's amazing and you it starts to develop a really nice color to it. GG7X is Composite Leather and is recommended Indoors but really Composite Leather can be used Outdoors too. Just never use Full Grain Leather outdoors! Yea so GM7 is Outdoor, GG7X is Outdoor & Indoor, and GL7X & BG5000 are Indoor.
I feel like the ball is smaller than the previous one. It's looks like a size 6 but when i compare it with 6 ball it's a little bigger but when i compare it to a size 7 ball it's looks like it smaller so i guest the ball is around 6 to 7?
I measured my bg4500 size 7.

Then bg5000 yung top of the line basketball ng molten, hindi lang talaga nakadisplay yung bg5000 in most sports store.

BG5000 is the top BG series ball.it is made of genuine leather...it is the official Ball used in fiba tournaments and the PBA.
@@jagph24 genuine leather ball is recommended to full aircon court and you better use powder.
Yes I feel the same too. BG sucks. Molten should create a better ball than GGX.
I think the more padded one for amateur leagues and the less padded one is what they used in professional leagues i guess. Anyways, tamang tama yung video mo because i was about to buy a basketball i hope may mahanap pa ako na GG7X. Before it was GG7 i don't know what X stands for maybe for outdoor used.

@@java2894 yes we use gg7x for outdoors in malaysia and have 1 that last 2 years.. great ball.. gotta buy a new ball now i'm really hesitating on BG4500... our GG7x market is flooded with fakes so gotta worry about that too

Agreed i use gg7x or gf7x or spalding tf1000 legacy as an alternative option in my game rotation
I'm looking for a new outdoor ball while the 3 Molten models that could still get in store and within my budget are GG7X from old series, BG4000, BG4500 from new series.
My previous one is Spalding Silver while the air leaked frequently therefore I'm not planning to getting Spalding's any more.
Now considering models from Nike and Molten only....I have not used any Molten models before so my expectation is not too high. (just one that won't leak and works well outdoor)

First consider the court condition sir. Kung cement pero painted, any synthetic leather balls will do under 2500k php, also nakaindicate nmn s ball kung indoor/outdoor. Pero kung outdoor na cement lang(not painted) lalo na dito sa pinas, get rubber balls instead, meron rubber ball ang molten.
I agree, GG7X is far way better.
Spalding indoors is just better
The bg4000 and 4500 are great basketballs once worn in.........
the new pebble design just takes ALOT of hours to wear in. We use 4500 in our semi pro league in australia and after about 50 hours of wear in time theyre really good. But yes at first was slipper, stiff and terrible

FACTS!!
One thing i notice also is that the foam padding inside the BG4500 Gets softer and feels great inhand but after not using it the foam gets stiffer again it just takes a couple of dribbles to soften it again.
Some people say that the grip is bad,But i noticed when the ball gets moist or wet because of sweat it dries up very quick and the ball becomes a grippy/sticky basketball which is good.
I dont know what magic molten did with the new BG line but hey people hate change.

Bg 4500 vs bg 4000 what's the difference po?
And also do the balls have the same in weight, bg 4000 and bg 4500? Cause in the past I bought Gf7x and I realized its weight was really lighter than Gg7x so the problem is whenever we gonna play 5v5 and in the league I find it hard to shoot cause gg7x was really heavier than gf7x and I'm not that used to it.
