I prefer the 993 over the 992. Don't get me wrong, I love the 992 but it's super hyped right now and the reason I wear NBs is so I don't have shoe doppelgangers everytime I go out. 🤣

@@SeanStaMaria the 991 is also super underrated. I have the Elite Gent and before the pandemic, that one was my work daily driver.
I got into NB's last June and the 992's have become my favorite. The gr's are as good as or even better that any collab IMHO. While I did get most of my MiUSA/MiUK pairs from StockX and GOAT, I bought the M992TN locally to support the PH retailer. I hope more people do this so NB PH can bring in more models. It doesn't matter if a million people buy them as most people can't distinguish a MiUSA/MiUK pair from a MiAsia one anyway haha. More power to your channel bro!

Yes, there is! I was into welted oxfords for many years and only started buying some hyped Jordans and Nikes the first half of the year to keep up with the trends. I like them but don't love them--after all they're just sneakers. The NB's on the other hand are quality shoes. I don't even want to call them "sneakers" lol. Holding them in hand gives the same joy of holding a pair of goodyear welted leather shoes haha. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your reviews on the Asia-made 2002R. Hope the quality is on par with the UK and USA models.

It comes down to taste bro. I like both for different reasons. Congrats on your v5... you might find that it's one of the best sneakers youve ever owned.
The 990v5 is much more comfortable but the 992 is the more iconic silhouette.

I think it still is worth the cop. I have both pairs in grey and they really do look like one sneaker at first glance... but they're different animals. If youre a fan of the brand, go for it.
