ReVamp was in Floor's angry phase having lost both her previous band and a long term boyfriend. She wasn't in a mood to take prisoners when she started ReVamp.

Floor Jansen is born 21 February 1981, so in 2010 she was 29
Floor toured w/ Nightwish in 2012-2013 while she was STILL in ReVamp. After the Wacken Festival of 2013 Floor was announced as officially the lead singer of Nightwish. The following year (2014) ReVamp released their 2nd CD "Wild Card". The year AFTER Floor recorded her first CD w/ Nightwish "Endless Forms most Beautiful" and toured with Nightwish from 2015-2016. It was in 2016 that she disbanded ReVamp to focus on Nightwish.
Rumor has it that Floor is not good in underwater welding but that has to still be determined and verified.....

Bit late reaction....but anyway. Maybe you can react on another dutch singer. Something completely different than Floor. Her name is Amira Willighagen and her story starts in 2013 when she wins the Holland got Talent show at age 9. (She sings an opera song called "O mio babino caro"). Even more remarkable is the fact that she tought herself to sing opera by watching clips on youtube.
When she was about 12 years old she moved to South Africa with her mother and brother and she has lived there since, and this year she turned 18. (So maybe she's even living close to you...)
In the years between 2013 and totday she has matured in a way that's simply unbelievable. A voice that is so pure, so cristal clear and today so powerfull that it's literally ear-piercing.
Except for mio babino caro there are lots of other beautifull songs to find on youtube. "Amazing grace" and "Your love" are good examples of perfomances done when she was just 13 years old. Or "La vergine degli angeli" at age 16.
Take a leap through time and witness the remarkable growth of this outerworldly talent.

Your South African pronunciation of 'Graspop' is perfectly Dutch. Every Dutch person understands a South African. After all, it was our language in 1650 as Jan van Rietbeek spoke it. In any case....Floor understands South African. Another nice comment by the way

'Pop' for a soft, fizzy drink was a term used back in the day in Britain. Not so common in recent decades, but I still use it ironically (or not ironically as it tallies with my age). Characters from comic strips in The Beano and The Dandy would drink pop.

Terry is a good man, and a fellow FloorWorld brother. Floor is always a badass, no matter how she dresses or sings, she always has that metal edge down deep. Believe me, it is still there, check out Hellfest 2022, listen to her sing Planet Hell.

Recording of this concert needed some tweaking as the original´s sound volume was too low. And the thing is that Disdain and Trial of Monsters are the only two songs from this recorded concert that the band did not experience any issues with audio. Floor´s microphone stopped working completely in the middle of another song, for instance. It was a very hot day, apparently.
Yeah her mic completely stopped, but the same day..at least 3 other bands had the same problem. I thought My dying bride and Sepultura. Devin Townsend was also there the same day. The line-up was amazing with motorhead, kiss, slash, stone temple pilots....and go on
Such a sexy lady Floor is! She seems very feisty!! Its cool seeing this version of her and the band is good too...the guitar dude looks kinda like Kurt Cobain.

The Floor is lava.
If I remember correctly this show was late morning/ lunchtime so the fans were little subdued although you can see them get more into the music as the show progresses. Plus Graspop is in the Netherlands and from what I have seen Dutch fans tend to be a little more reserved (see the crowd at Pinkpop in 2022). Two of the members from the band are in Marcela Bovio's latest project Dark Horse, White Horse. I like Judgement Day from them (ua-cam.com/video/BwZNwmbwXRU/v-deo.html). You know her from Ayreon as one of the backup singers from the Universe live show.
In most of the states they call it soda but in the midwest they call it pop. My cousins from western New York always called it pop and I thought it was hilarious.

Revamp and After Forever was just practice for Floor, then when she joined Nightwish everything came together where Floor turned into the Greatest front women on the planet....
She was the greatest front woman long before Nightwish! That's why they asked her to join their band!!

I'm in the states and yes "pop" is a regional name for carbonated soft drinks. the other most common term is "soda" unless you are in or around Georgia then everything is "coke" i.e. "What kind of coke do you want?" "I want a Pepsi flavored coke."

Oh well, here we go again: there were already a few comments about the pronounciation of Graspop, so I'll leave that alone.
And pop does not only mean doll (yes that too is the same in Dutch) it is also a style of music (Just in case were wondering about that too) 🤪🤣
We have many festivals called (....)pop. Parkpop, Pukkelpop (okay that's in Belgium), Pinkpop (pinksteren-pop / pentecost, not the color) Bospop etc. etc.
Please don't ask why it is called GrasPOP as it is a metalmeeting 🤷♂ I don't get it either.
Now, as some people may have mentioned in the past, Floor is Worldfamous, but in the Netherlands she is known as a singer in a band that not many people have heard of let alone care about and out of nowhere popped up in a show called De Beste Zangers in 2019.
So, if you were not a fan of Ayreon or at least in to symphonic metal, chances are you never heard of her. Or one of the bands she performed or even featured in.
That music does not get played on the radio here....at all! I've heard Nightwish maybe...and that is a big maybe(!) 5 times on the radio? And that is at the absolute most and most of the time because Floor was visiting the studio.
I have seen her perform (before De Beste Zangers) with Arjen en Ben Mathot (on violin) in a famous tv show (De Wereld Draait Door) but that was a 30 sec performance. And I have seen her with After Forever on an even older late night show (Barend en van Dorp) and they couldn't care less what band was playing every night, they just announced them and started looking bored until it was time to start ranting again about what was 'important' that day.
So, where I'm getting at (if you are still here and not just walked off to get your next coffee or banana) is that most of the people standing in front of that stage, heard that band for the very first time! So they are listening.... and some are maybe just waiting for the headliner 🙈
When you don't now any of the music or even the band in front of you it's not so easy to go me(n)tal, unless when you're maybe the only one not knowing them, then you just follow the crowd.
Now I'm pretty sure all the other musicians scatterd to other bands (as they ususally do) but my fingers are hurting by now 😋
And I beg of you: TAKE NOTES THIS TIME!!!! 🙄🤣🤣

There is a burnout between the Floor here and the one at Nightwish. This forced her to completely change her life and bring it into balance. Those around you will also have benefited from this.
