Jörn Viggo Lofstad from the prog band Pagan’s Mind is the guy accompanying Floor here, an amazing guitar player, but I think you noticed that already😮. If you want to check out his band: they are best live! Like Emppu is always playing his ESP when performing with Nightwish, Jörn is married to his Van Halen guitars (I think he has two of them, forgotten the types). What people miss with Floor is actually how well she shares focus. She could easily dominate just about any performance but actually chooses not to. Many try to do it but Floor seems to be able just use a glance or a head tilt to shift the focus and then steps just far enough back to share or relinquish it as required. It is an acting skill which has always had me believing she would be a massive start on Broadway or in the West End.
No one can so awesomely wave "goodbye" in a song like Floor.. ;) EDIT: here's her ReVamp song which contains all of her heart poured out: "I Lost Myself". Yes those 5150 heads sound so good. I have one of the first Gen ones and the tone is phenomenal. Her solo work so far is really good and the stuff on Sing Meinen Song -filmed in your own 🇿🇦 was outstanding. The host’s version of this song made Floor cry. It was my favorite of the songs sung for her. Very adorable little one there too. Glad she got the 🍦

About the song, I can say that it is similar to Roxette, but something is wrong with the melody, probably not enough flexibility of melody, in general there is not enough music... the scratching of the guitar, my friend, is for experiments for the endurance of the eardrums and for research what sounds can be made by an electric guitar, I must say thank you that you did not extract sounds from a cat that is pulled by the tail.

Love this solo Lp by Floor. Once again I am here to campaign for you to watch an amazing guitarist Luca Stricagnoli /Cover of Metalicas Fade to Black on acoustic guitars he plays both at same time. I am 66 and have seen a lot of legends Page, Beck Gilmore, Stevie Ray Vaughn but Luca blew me away. You owe it to yourself to see this master from Italy. I do not care if you post it to your channel just watch it
As a fellow Guitarist, musician and metal head. We can find ourselves stagnant and stuck in one type of Genre. So it does feel good to test ourselves from time to time with something new or different and Floor as a vocalist is no different and as a more mature person I'm at this place where I seek talent and abilities in all styles and genre rather them me old favorite metal. And leaving that comfort zone is healthy. We only need to look back at the fundamentals and pillars of Metal and the influences such as Blues, Classical, etc. And we can see that it's OK to learn something different.
It's actually a quite serious song, where Floor back in 2008, when she wrote it - had to let some steam out, due to the harsh break up with her former boyfriend through 7 years. Everything was pure hate and black or white. You can feel the hate and emotions in every bit of this song. But there are other quite opposite songs on the Northward Album - it's great old school hard rock all the way - even a duet with her sister Irene in Drifting Islands!!
So glad you reacted to this! It deserves waay more attention than it gets. This one has a real Joan Jett vibe for me, do check out some of the other tracks, there's quite a variety - maybe Storm in a Glass next? Oh, and well done on balancing your daughter's needs with those of your audience!
A lessor known collab Floor did in Northward project that is really great and refreshing change and it’s really cool to see her as a rocker chick lol! I recommend every music lover of this genre to get the CD as another said here, you will love it!
