I speak four language and I can honestly say that what has helped me master a foreign language pronunciation is to listen to a foreigner speaking my native language. Let me explain my native language is French and if I want to speak perfect Portuguese I listen to a Brazilian speak French and try to imitate the sound they make in French and then try those sounds in Portuguese.
Very interesting conversation, as an Italian I can say that hearing English is all new sounds, but over the years I have improved a lot, but what an effort!!!

Here in Italy there are many different dialects. For example: if a person who comes from to the north of the country speaks his own dialect with someone who comes from to the south, very likely they won't be able to understand to each other. Does that happen even in America? I mean, are there different dialects which are difficult to understand to american people who come from to different areas of the country? Anyway, great job!
I'm grateful for this video. I wonder if you know some website that has the same focus that Foster does on Brazilian/Portuguese speakers, but for LA Spansh speakers. Foster's way of teaching seems very specialized, so I would like something similar for Spanish. Thank you for your insights!
Hi Annemarie!
