You have missed the most obvious point. Royal Mail NEVER ask you to pay money via text. If there is an underpayment for an item it will always be done via a Grey Royal Mail Card which is returnable to your local depot.

Thanks for the comment. At 2:45 we do clearly say that you should check to see if you have had something through the door and to check the tracking number on the official Royal Mail website. Royal Mail -may not ask for payment via text message but they- do routinely send out tracking links via text so it can be very easy to fall for this type of scam if you happen to be waiting for a parcel when this message comes through.
EDIT: Royal Mail told us, the only time they would ask customers to make a payment by email or by text is in some instances where a customs fee is due. In such cases, they would also leave a grey card telling customers that there's a Fee to Pay before we can release the item.

@@which They clearly say on their website that grey card for UK deliveries but can send emails for international payments. I would not even trust any correspondence from this company now they could well be scammers within the company sending emails. The corruption of Royal mail has been exposed.

Have you cancelled your card? I’d call your bank and discuss it with them. If the bank calls you be very suspicious. This happened to my husband and the scammers called him pretending to be his bank, it was very convincing. Call the bank yourself to discuss it, before they can take money or scam you further, it’s the best way.

Royal Mail have a really bad attitude delivering Amazon products cos they're so used to just carrying envelopes. I don't put up with any of their cheek at the door. Bstrds. IF YOU DON'T LIKE DELIVERING AMAZON PRODUCTS PISS OFF.💣⚰️
