- Consider the Junks cautiously optimistic about Alex Sarr and the rest of the Wizards 2024 NBA Draft selections after a weekend of Summer League action. What did you think of the Wizards' first couple of Summer League outings?
George's shot is smooth and he looks like a good passer. The dribbling though🤦♂️
I see a lot of Amarie Stoudamire in Alex Starr.
Still he needs to go to the gym gain 20-30 lbs and he will be great

I would say about as expected. But Sarr is not a center, not strong enough.

@michaelroelant7134 besides Shaq what other NBA player you know who put on 30lbs and it helped his game? He needs to get stronger and from what I can tell he needs to get in better shape to play real minutes but 30 lbs is wild. I don't think he's ever going to be a guy that can defend a Jokic or an Embiid or any real old school sized center
Reed Shepherd not being a Wizard because we picked Alex over him is going to piss me off. If Reed averages or becomes something great, this will become the 1st greatest blunders even surpassing the Kwame Brown pick in 2001. Reed looked way better than Alex in that Rockets vs Wizards. Hitting 3’s from the logo
We needed a defensive anchor… Sarr struggled on offense, but he showed potential on the defensive end. Reed looked good and he’s going to be a good player. But, he was playing with a more experienced team. None of these players are near their peak. I like what the Wizards are doing. young, athletic, and versatile. The foundation for the future is being laid nicely.
@@couptakeover Zack Eddy was another great prospect we passed on and he’s out playing Alex. Eddy had 14pts,15reb, and 4blks. What’s the excuse there.
It is worrisome, but it's summer league...it's sooo meaningless for long term projections. Jarvis Hayes looked just as good as Reed in SL, how did that work out? Lol
