Just finished work and drove to the nearest woodland available, birds are chirping, the brook is babbling and yes that's an ice cream van playing occasionally in the background 😲

Interesting vlog. Good place for a camping. Greetings and thumbs up.
Hi Greg, Thank you....It was a fun one to do, but that particular place is very popular with dog walkers and it'd be near on impossible to camp there. A shame really as it is such a lovely little place, it's basically a five minute walk from a big housing estate and is very popular with the local people. But it was ideal to do the VR after I'd finished work that day.

I think similarly there Mike. When we were young playing making catapults, bows and arrow, building fire, climbing trees and making shelters it was merely play. I didn't know what Bush-craft was. I guess we've been doing it a while. Good questions and even better answers. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark👍🏻exactly Mate, it was just play...We didn't realise that we were covering so called bushcraft and survival, but we were. Times have changed since then eh lol, technology is a double edged sword don't you think.

Nice one Mike - Couldn't agree more about using Moras - I use a Mora Kansbol - £30 and all the knife you'll ever need for an overnighter in England.
Hi Duskhunter, yes my friend I agree 100% they really are such great knives for the money. I think out of all my cutting tools, the tool that gets used the most is the laplander. How about you my friend?

Similar childhood in regards to playing out. I used to follow the river from the woods to the weir before the Millpond, tickling fish, building camps, getting bit by water voles i think want to be my friend :/

Hi Caroline, Thats nice to hear....Back then kids were far more intouch with nature, sounds like we were particularly lucky in where we lived. Wow bitten by water voles is one thing ive never experienced lol. Crazy to think where i once spent my childhood in the woods is now just a screaming motorway.. So very sad...I literally walked to the bottom of my street as a kid and climbed a barbed wire fence, and was in some of the most beautiful countryside meadow after meadow, woodlands with native trees and a meandering river.

looks like DD Tarps & Hammocks are made in UK. they have them on american ebay. i want the 5X5 it has 19 tie-out points. VG enjoyed & thumbed up.
Hi Martina, I believe DD gear is made in Indonesia and Vietnam even China... I'm not 100% on this though there's tons of distributors world wide, and the delivery time is always superb. The popular 3x3 has 19 tie out points also, I've been looking at the 3.5 x 3.5
You won't be disappointed with your new tarp👍🏻

i was incorrect.. 5x5 has 25 tie-off points. DD says in their vids and online it's "simply too big for solo". i disagree for me because i have canvass usgi tarps bigger than this and they aren't too big.... just too heavy. prob won't go solo anyway. i want serious coverage. i do love the way you go out though with basha n' bivy or basha n' hammock!!!! soon i'll buy the 5x5 DD tarp though. tonight gonna order the GSI SS kettle!!! thx mike!!!

Black Country Woodsman lol I had a diamondback, couldn't afford anything so I used to go round factory estates to find thick washers to put on the rear axcels to strengthen it so I could grind walls etc, loved street riding, even a bit of flatlanding. Then I moved onto trials mountain biking, now a bit of cross country and downhilling. Also one of the questions.. I prefer solo lol. I try to do a vid otherwise like in another tag ill put it on my Facebook page. Yeah weather great at mo, cheers bro, take it easy 👍👍
