Against what you said, this song is one of my favorites. The guitar is so well done, the vocals are perfect, (minus the word forced, I think that was separated intentionally) and the backbeat keeps an incredible energy constantly flowing. I cannot see anything wrong with this song.
@JaMcIrr Yeah, vocals were quite difficult for this. There's such a difference in pitch between the chorus and verse, and I played with several different ways of singing it, but none sounded quite as good (to me.) Also played with the piano a bit, but couldn't find a way to work it in nicely... You'll also notice I keep the verse melodies minor, instead of doing that minor/major thing Eurobeat Brony does (which I love, but needed to simplify for punk/alternative style.) TLDR: Song was hard. ;p

@WhitenedInk Lol, thank you! :3 So far as software, I use Pro Tools 8 with an MBox Pro Mini. My voice is recorded through an AKG C2000B mic and a Focusrite Platinum VoiceMaster Pre-amp. So far as what I'd recommend, depends on your budget and existing hardware. There are decent condenser microphones that can plug in via USB (Blue comes to mind), but if you have a DAW, any large diaphragm condenser mic is great for voice. The preamp is my secret, though. It makes things sound MUCH better.
I heard Eurobeat did a cover of this. Not even kidding, I honestly hear this as the original now even though it's technically a cover, love all your stuff Forest, keep it up!
