This is my favorite line because it describes how even in the darkest of times, when you think you're alone and even when you actually are alone, you can still make it through any hardship you face. Instead of saying something like "you're never alone," sometimes there isn't anybody who is there to help you, but it doesn't mean you're a goner. You can still get through this.

This song makes sense more than ever now a days. I loved this fandom and made some great friends at its peak.
I don't know if this is the rigth place to say this, but thing weren't better in the past. Today's pony music is much more accomplished than that which was made back in the day.
I used to love someone who adored this song. It is a good song but it will always bring me to tears. Kinda fitting to this song too, good memories that will never be forgotten. We shouldn't let the good things in our past tear us down, instead cherish them and move forward. Without loss there is no appreciation.

I remember first listening to this back when I was in ninth grade. Brings me back to happier times :)
I've met so many wonderful people since I joined the herd shortly after season 2 aired. I've attended conventions, made more art than I can keep track of, made up songs that I forgot the next day, and made my closest friends. I can honestly say, that MLP has filled my mind and heart with love, harmony, hope, and peace. I am truly a new person with a new, brighter path, all thanks to this culture and the magical show! Goddamn I feel so awkward because it seems like I joined the fandom so late. I only joined this year and it seems like I'm the only person that didn't join when the show first aired, or during season two...
doesn't matter much when you join to be honest. I joined last year and yeah it feels like your a bit behind at first, but it'll pass. Just chat and have fun with the other fans and that awkwardness will pass in no time.

I remember singing this song in my grandma's house. Everyone was Laughing at me but with a little bit of awe because I could sign in English perfectly. Jokes on them, because I could see the real world. 😉

So it's really been a whole year since I joined this damned fan base, time sure does fly, doesn't it? I've already met and talked with so many new people, and discovered that there is just so much in this world. There's just something about this show that's awesome. The fandom as a whole may not be the best, but some of the things that fans create is simply astonishing. Maybe this fan base has really opened me up to more music, people, and ideas. So thanks, magical horse fans.

This is my favorite song...of all time....ever.
This song is absolutely amazing. Right when it starts I get this feeling in my stomach and as it progresses through the song it goes up to my throat. It is just a great feeling. This is such an awesome song. I listen to it a lot.
Wow... Two years ago. I was going through a lot of stuff during this time, and looking back on it I have realized how much it helped me. This Show too... My Little Pony honestly helped me gain hope for the future. And this show helped me in so many ways. I am happy to say that I couldn't be happier now, and wish nothing were different! Forest Rain was a wonderful influence to me as well! Thank you!

I was listening to this while I was picking up some groceries. I happen to be walking by the in-store bakery (and smelling the cakes baking) when the line "And when you're so high up it takes some time to bring you on Down, down to where you can smell the sweet bread bake." was playing. I got a few stares when I started laughing, but it was worth it.
i downloaded cartoon songs months back but these original songs are new to me, and i love them.
Did you know that there are already some big fan animation projects that actually make some people hopeful for that sort of thing? The first one that comes to mind is "Double Rainboom" which will be a full 22 minute fan episode and I recall others that I haven't been keeping tabs on

I feel old listening to this song. Has it really been over a year and a half since this came out. I just can't help but remember the first time I heard it and how it was one of the first songs from the fandom I ever heard. Time really does fly doesn't it.

This is one of the most melodic, joyful and brilliant pony songs to have been created! I want this played at my funeral, I don't care about its origins. It is probably the happiest good song I have ever heard.

As far as I know, all the lyrics are the same except for one line-- In my version, I sang "No matter if you're underwing, like racing, or the finer things". In the original, the lyrics are actually "No matter if you're horned or winged, like racing, or the finer things".

Forest, I know this is a cover of someone else's work, but I love this version because your voice just conveys more emotion. Your songs are some of my favorites produced by the brony fandom. "Great to Be Different' made me realize that I'm really happy with who I am and I wouldn't change for anything and this song just made me think back on everything that has made me who I am and all the friends that I've made because of this fandom...thank you for inspiring these thoughts. :)
