Exactly. I love it, but especially when newer players make a mistake, it will just ruin the game for all sadly. So kinda hard to bring to people without making them feel bad, haha.
It does help to tell people to occasionally go over their past clues to make sure they didn't fudge anything up.... can make it a phase every couple of turns, or just whenever there is down-time/bathroom breaks/etc.
One of my favorite games. It is very impressive how they made so many combinations that precisely point to 1 and only 1 position. Must have been really hard to make.
I absolutely love this game. I have it but played only a few times because EVERYONE ELSE'S HATE IT. The idea of keeping track of everyones clues is too much thinking for most of my friends I guess. Also the version I have is extra confusing cause 3 player colors are variations of green, and the other 2 are variations of red, which makes the board very annoying to look at
The creature's spot is the combination of all player's clues. In order to find it you must figure everyone's clue first, and you gotta do it before the others. You can only guess the cryptid in places that accord with your own clue (which means u r helping everyone but you). Also, when you guess, the table will contest clockwise (and sometimes you need info from people far away from you in that direction)
Not really? It's like minesweeper if the grid had a bunch of different colored areas and markers when the game started and there were a set of rules for the location of a single mine based on the different areas and markers. Its got some minesweeper-ness to it but a lot more dimension.
I've played this game before. It's very fun but you need to be careful placing those markers any single mistake can ruin the entire game

"Then everyone will cease to exist"
I'm pretty sure the infinity gauntlet isn't a cryptid, but okay.
Yeah, no, I don't know what he was thinking
Thanos is
@@user-lt8ew4ow1n Thanos is dead.
@@modragon1936maybe he meant to say everyone else’s cryptid ceases to exist, and only yours was real?
This game is my favorite board game. It may look hard but it's very simple to play.
Losers be like: OH NO HE WON AAAAaaaa…
*proceeds to get "Thanos Snapped"
Really good game!
Bought it for my partner, and we've had a lot of fun with it. It's a strange mix between social deduction and Minesweeper

I *love* deduction games ... have a dozen or so, at least... and Cryptid is the absolute best.
Sounds like a great party game!
I wouldn't say it's a party game. The game is one of the most logic taxing games that exist. You gotta be sober and well awake to stand a chance.
I keep seeing these cool things to get, but I never have money for it. Keep up the good content tho :)
*THE TIME HAS COME FOR TEQUILA SUNSET!*
This looks fun
Cryptid is so good. Such a clever deduction that makes the player feel clever every time. Unless, you have no idea what you’re doing. Haha
THE BOX HAS A FUDGIN LEVAIATAN

Could you make a video about arcan horror ?
Can you talk about TerraFyte? Its a spaceship game that uses pixel art, its enjoyable.
So kinda like clue but more complicated
And later become the pray
Pray?
So clue but different
*everyone gets their hint*
"THE CRYPTID IS HERE!"
"uh, idk, my clue doesn't say not"
"same"
*WINNER!*
1Go outside
2No
1Why
2I will cease to exist
1prove it
"Walks out of the door and then proceeds to cease to exist"
Is the only reason you call this game "intense" because of the tacked-on "everyone ceases to exist" at the end
Calling one of the chillest games "Intense"
Bullets don't work on most Cryptids
So it’s like clue
Honestly, this seems like an okay premise, but the cryptid angle is wasted. It's all generic shapes, the theme could literally be anything.
No is not a Beast is the one peac
Hmm
crypto zoologist sound like a researcher that study on animal crypto
Isnt it objectively better to guess the cryptid rather than asking if its there?

Pfft, whatever, where's Atmosfear when you need it? Or Omega Virus?
This game is honestly kind of lame. It's just minesweeper the boardgame
So it's like cooler Minesweeper. I like games like these that change every time you play them.
