I have used a Wurm on my board for a while now and it can push my mesa half stack past chainsaw and into toothbrush. looking forwards to seeing what the new one can do
love it! I really love mix controls as well! Especially on HM2 style pedals. Most HM2 albums were a blend of an amp with hm2 and one without it. So a mix control makes so much sense if you are playing live with one amp.
The low mids being pushed up counteract the high mids. The low mids should actually be reduced and it'll chainsaw harder. Anyone saying it doesn't chainsaw needs to watch Dome, he does a proper review.
Dude, you're overloading the circuit with everything up up. The HM-2 would be emulated with bass and high mids all up and the rest slightly reduced. There's the real chainsaw, trust me, I got the Wurm. (And KMA put it in their manual as well)
This seems like a sick pedal, does what it’s going for well. With home recording if you’re unable to mic up, do you recommend a load box or one of the modeler kings like fx3 or quad cortex? The neural dsp plugins are cool but seem like something is just missing plus it’s literally the same three amps everyone else is using.
@@deadtolove I was contemplating going that route. I just wasn’t sure how well the amp heads translate with that! I feel like plugins are close these days but every time it feels like something is missing. It’s noticeable in the low end to me I feel like.
@@deadtolove I’ll definitely give it a shot. I’m messing sound with an fm3 and it definitely responds better than some Of the other amp sims Out there. More similar to me micing a cab up myself. I’ll have to give a load box a shot and see what’s more realistic!
Haha. That's a point. I think the Guardian of the Wurm is all about a bonding with the creature and... what will happen next? You might are about to tame the beast, but the tamer herself and the beast are now as one and that's so powerful.
Love chainsaw sound, but this didn't sound good to me. I thought your new Revv amp sounded REDONKULOUSLY AMAZING when you were trying it out in your other video. Best HM-2 pedal I've ever tried was the Abominable Electronics Throne Torcher, but Neural DSP Omega takes the proverbial modern cake.
Haha both videos, this one and spectre sounds review of it, neither of them know jack shit about playing swedish death metal. It's not really a sound where chords are used much. Send it to Ola Englund, he will give it a proper review and actually play swedish death riffs. 🤘😎
Not very HM-2 honestly. You could probably get it close, closer than Trey does anyway. But there's no mention of fuzz circuitry here, and I'm hearing a definitive lack of square wav clipping. Surprise... the HM-2 is essentially a FUZZ pedal, much like the other dark horse of death metal, the ProCo RAT. If you put an HM-2 or a RAT in front of an already pushed JCM, and start tremolo picking in minor and dissonant keys, Death Metal will find you. This pedal has too many bells and whistles without sounding enough like the real thing. People like the Grindstein, the Left Hand Wrath, and the Enormous Door LHP because they sound like an HM-2, with just a couple more knobs, housed in a sturdy steel chassis.
Having used an HM2 for a very long time, I can confidently say this sounds NOTHING like an HM2. You’d be better off buying a used HM2 or a new HM-2W. Don’t settle for bad imitations like this.

So happy to still see you doing gear videos
Super stoked I got to meet you at Soilwork. You're a chill dude
Yes
5:54 when you hit the brown note and pooped your pants😂
I’m not even a big high gain fan and I might get this. Sounds awesome. 👍
Some of your riffs with that pedal reminded me of the Danish band Illdisposed! \m/ Great vid! Kudos!
Grandma just did this one, he got some boss tones meng!

Awesome review. 😎🤘🏻🎸this pedal sounds killer. Since it has a blend control, I wonder what it sounds like on bass.
I am trying it! Alt to Dark Glass?

This made me start reading manuals for once
Trey: "Start with the low!"
WURM: "BWOOOOOM!"
Trey: *shocked pikachu meme"
I where to make a commercial for this thing I'd do it Dune themed, I hope the new movie is decent 🤞
Well I'll keep my HM2
Is the gate as good as the Pylon ?
Got one on back order but this is pretty sick. But I need a really fast gate. Thx

If I already have an HM-2 and NS-2 in my pedal chain, am I wasting my money to buy this pedal?
I think right now nothing beats the audiority heavy pedal mk2
Nice guitar not sure what kind it is? Are you live tomorrow or Saturday?
Oh fuck new tone
Nice
Entombed time !
5:51 Trey struck "Doom"
I'll take two.
"I think silicone is for boobies" thats your next shirt slogan right there.
Am i the only one that cannot find the monday's video for the amp contest?
There wasn't one.
As if it wasn't going slow enough already 🙄
Meh way too neat and cute. Point of the chainsaw sound is not to control it, but to unleash the unholy chaos in all it's glory!

So no video this week?
This was a video

LOL @ Trey Trey's stankface :p
Love this so much, wish it wasn’t a million dollars tho
Does not ship to Canada :( Sell me yours? lol
Too late. He already sent it to his Canadian Grandma, Glenn Fricker. (check out his review) :p

Seriously, that cheap ass Behringer HM300 sounds great for what it is.
exactly. what i hear here is just endless shaping of quite boring tone (more like sweeping mids of MT-2). Definitely not THE classic.
Sounds like a crappy line 6 or digitech multi effect pedal from 2001
How much is this piece of garbage gear?
