    1 Add an empty at the 3D cursor (call it pivot).
    2 Now parent the hook to the Pivot empty (keep offset).
    3 Now rotate the pivot; insert only rotation key frames.

    Thanks Bryson. This just might have solved an issue I was having with 3D curves not responding to physics. I can create an object and apply the same curve shape to the object then use a hook to manipulate as required....Skips away happy with updated 'To do' list.....
