I'm glad I found your channel. I to live in South Texas and new to gardening. I guess I wont be able to get tomatoes this year as I haven't started any yet😢 oh well plenty of other things to plant. I'll keep watching your videos, I learned a lot. Thank you.
If your in our area, I start my seeds 12-1.. and plant them in feb...I just cover with a plastic tote if we get a freeze...I pull the plants come july...tooo hot and too many bugs
I’m in the Corpus Christi area and the high winds and humidity (causing blight) usually wreck my tomatoes, even in cages. Still searching for a good variety for this environment.
The birds go after mine unless I pick them before they ripen, I would like to leave them on until they are red. What do you do to prevent or deter the birds?
It was so windy in the morning I had to wait till the afternoon to do the video. Then it was so hot my camera overheated 5 times. Had to keep coming into the air conditioning to cool it down. 🤠
Thank you as always for the tour! Good luck with your chick hatching- keep us posted! 😊
First one hatched yesterday! A bunch more to go. 🤠
Beautiful garden.. You nailed it pretty well, in Canada (Québec) we have until where I live mid or end of September to pick them up..

@@benegutierrez2167 I'm between Austin and San Antonio just outside New Braunfels.
I think you still have time to plant some tomatoes. Maybe need to purchase some plants though. 🤠

Thanks Larry, your tomatoes are beautiful. We're still getting lows in the 20s here in California upper desert. Too cold to plant still.
It will not be long. Good luck!! 🤠
Thanks for sharing this video keep up the good work ❤❤
Love your garden 😍
Thank you! 🤠
I’ve got beefsteak in the ground here in South Georgia. Gonna try out Early Cascade, Rio Grande, and homestead as soon as the seeds arrive.
Sounds good! Let me know how the Rio Grande turn out. Sounds like a variety I should try. 🤠
Thank you for sharing.
So glad I got your video ❤🇨🇦🙏
Me too!! 🤠
Do you can your tomatoes? I’m growing beefsteak to can and I love Cherokee purple to slice and eat. Should have waited till the end to post 🤣🙈
Yes I can tomatoes. This year I may be making a lot of sauce and salsa. So far looking to be a good year for tomatoes for me. 🤠
@@DeepSouthTexas - that’s awesome. I’m hoping for a 2021 kind of tomato year. 2022 sucked. No tomatoes.
We're did you get your metal raised beds?
The white ones I ordered on line, Vego Garden. A little high priced. The galvanized ones I bought from Northern Tool. Really great price. 🤠

I will be putting up some bird netting in a week or two. Hate the stuff, but it seems to work. 🤠
@@DeepSouthTexas bird netting! Ok I’ll look into that. Thanks so much!
Every tomato I picked this year was cracked. I had a terrible year everything got to hot and died.I’m in Arizona zone 8 b
Not a good year for gardening. The plants I got in early did do well though. 🤠
What’s with the weather yesterday 🥵
