I am so glad to find your channel before the growing season. It makes me want to try every tomatoes you’ve mentioned in your videos. Thank you for your hard working so we get to see your beautiful results.
yeah, same here, just when I thought I knew all about tomatoes, and finalized my top 5 list, you European guys out of nowhere bring a bunch of interesting tomatoes I never heard of... I wonder though, have you tried some of the more popular tomatoes we have here, like Super Sweet 100 and Sungold for the cherry tomatoes, or Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, and Indian Stripe for the black heirlooms?
@@npast1I've tried and love all of those varieties, except for the Indian stripe. I have seeds for Indian stripe and Indian Zebra. After a bit of research I'm going to grow the zebras this year.
I am glad somebody gives credit to green tomatoes! I love them too. I had Queen aliquippa this year and it is relly good. My all time favorite is Orange Russian 117. For taste and beauty! Russian rose is also one of the very best. I have so many very good ones, can't even mention everybody...
Hi, I am from Australia. I have been growing SunGold F1 hybrid seeds. They are the sweetest tasting tomato I have ever grown. High yields, disease resistant but not heirloom. Worth the money each year growing them. Thanks for the video. I will be checking out the green tomato varieties you listed
I definitely want to give Spencer a try. I have grown many great tasting heirloom and hybrid cherries but cracking is the main issue. Rapunzel F1 is my current favorite that I grow yearly because of the very long trusses, doesn't crack and last long on the kitchen counter. It sounds like Spencer might be a good heirloom alternative. It looks like US seed sellers don't carry the seeds though, I'll have to try my luck with international shipping. I don't know if people noticed, but price of seeds has become ridiculous, especially hybrids, here in the States they are starting to charge $8-9 10 seeds of these sweet cherry variety. I want to step away from hybrid starting next year and concentrate on heirloom again.
I know a few people who claimed to hate tomatoes. When what they really meant was they hate store tomatoes. Even if people just try some of the old gardening classics like Gardeners Delight. They're already well ahead of anything from a store. Then they will want to try all these other great verities. Or just track down any one of the tomatoes featured in your videos. Even in your tomatoes, you wouldn't grow again. There aren't that many terrible tomatoes. More that there are so many other better ones to chose from.
Unfortunately I can't sell them abroad for the moment because (as far as I know) sending seeds for example to the US or to the European Union is restricted.
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOES Yes. I live in the north of Ireland, which technally is still within the UK. But thanks to Brexit, we can't get any seeds from UK providers. We still follow the EU rules & regulations on seeds/plant material etc. Just like the Republic of Ireland. On a plus side. It has forced me to look for other local providers like Sow Diverse, based down in Cork. They carry a decent range of tomatoes, as well as some dwarf tomatoes. A little late now, but well worth a look for anybody from Ireland who reads this. Maybe even check them out yourself. Then if anybody from around here asks about seeds, you can point them towards their site. You'd need to spend a crazy amount of money to have each variety cleared to be imported. Then you'd need to wait for them to grow some out, run all manner of tests etc. I can totally see why it's a thing. But it does also hammer the smaller providers. And we aren't even getting into all the paperwork that needs to go with each variety. If I spend say £20 - £30 on a few types of plant seed. Then each variety is going to need a small booklets worth of paperwork. That's just not practical for even the large, well known providers.
Finally got my hands on Spencer seeds. A bit late in the season, I'll sow the seeds but looking forward to growing it seriously next year, Queen Alliquippa as well.
A sample of the classic cocktail tomato is the Blash variety or Brad Gates Atomic Fusion. The green goddess Xanadu is really a very tasty variety for those who have not tried the Polish variety Jarson 7 (Malachite casket X Kozula 125) or Wild thyme. Of the orange varieties, the most delicious are Arkansas Marvel Heart and Orange Heart. You can try the Texas Star or the Mermaid. It is difficult to argue with the fact that Queen Aliquippa is an incredibly delicious and fruitful variety
How does the Xanadu Green Goddess compare to Rebel Starfighter VT16? I am going to grow one of those two, but I cannot decide which one is best? Maybe Lucky Garden can give his opinion too??
They all look beautiful! 😁 It’s interesting that Candy Sweet Icicle didn’t grow as tall as the others, did it keep producing tomatoes throughout the season?
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOES so zloty Ozawarsky and brandywine yellow tomato gives fruiting thought the season from one plant..? And after the season should we remove the plants or we should leave them for the next season..?? I hope you understand my question
i dont like tomatoes raw. I like them as a soup instead however i would love to try all 5 of these in my new allotment plot that i have bought. Both for soup but also for my family because they love fruit and vegetables.
Same here. I can only eat a few sweet cherry tomatoes, or tomato slices eating raw with cooked meat or fish. Mostly tomatoes can go in stir fried dishes, soup, sauce.... My stomach doesn't tolerate too much acidity from raw tomatoes, even the more popular sweet ones.

Where can I find seeds of these five tomatoes and Sunrise Jazz and Aunt Ruby's German Green. I would like to buy seeds of all 7. Please give me a name and phone number or website.
@@cherylk1518 They are sold all over online, all of those 5 varieties. I , too, just learned about most of those varieties from this video, quickly googled them, and they are available here in the US.
After watching this vid I come to the conclusion you dont know tomatoes and the reason behind this thinking is you dont have Brandywine which is an heirloom and the best tasting tomato and by the way the cherry tomatoes dont count when comparing varieties.

i wish there was large tomatoe with the same taste profile
The more I watched the tomato videos and the more I want buy more seeds to try
Mushroom Basket for my favorite flavor in a slicer. White Cherry for my favorite sweet flavored Cherry-type
I would love to grow some if not all of the varieties you mention in your videos. Obtaining seeds for them is the hard part!
I always look forward to your videos! Can I make a video request? Can we see your top 5 disease resistant open-pollinated tomatoes?
That's a good idea! I promise I'll think about it!

Hi, what about a seed exchange this autumn? I am also from Europe. :)
Hi! Where can I find your list of varieties? 🙂
💕Thanks for these, should give Barry's crazy cherry a try. I would love to hear your opinion!
I tried them 2-3 years ago, and really like these huge clusters of small cherry tomatoes. But in my case the taste was just ok 🙂
@@LUCKYGARDENTOMATOES Agree ..pretty bland
Try Cherry Flaviola number 1 in Romania with traditional taste of old tomato, very sweet, sightly acidic, crunchy.
Thank you!
Zloty ozarowaky is amazing. Was a win laat summer.
100%
Better than Sungold??
How hot does it get in your summers? My husband and I are trying to think about whether some of these would grow here. We occasionally get up to 41°C.
I think 41 is OK when you grow them outdoors, there can be much hotter inside of my greenhouses
How many more can I buy 😂😂
