CGB, your channel recommended this more than one year old video to me and I said "Screw it, I'll rewatch CGB play non-standard cards at 9 in the morning, why not?"
I am that one Bog__done I am proud that I could play with you not even once, but twice in one stream:) The first time I even managed to snatch the victory from you!:) And of course I subscribed to the Twitch channel:)
Why didn't the opponent attack with the giant when he had wi ote flying and he knew CGB hand lol, the amount of luck CGB have and the misplays of opponents he face is too high 🤦♂️
Okay so I 've spent a half a year saving up 29 Gold's and 11 Mythic's and decided to go for this deck. Tbh at first I had no clue what I was doing but now I fully understand how reconstruct history is the foundation of this deck. I've been eating away through the ranks so thank you! ^^
if you didn’t pour your heart and soul into the streak you could be winning tournaments left and right. we appreciate the sacrifice for our entertainment, man 🤝💯
You played me "Sircamm" @ 55:55 -- Was wondering if the game would be featured in your videos! was a fun one. - did hit #17 mythic tho with my funky deck :P
Very nice! I had to squee to my wife as I actually played against you today while watching this video. You were playing a blue/white control but were on the draw against your own Snow White deck and I got nice draw. My wife doesn't play much but she was entertained by your celebration of being #1. :)
i personally like the dedications being at the beginning of the video! it’s a nice reward for anyone who supports, and it shows off some cool cosmetics that i usually don’t see. keep up the great work CGB!
I'm not a member, but it seems like a nice reward for members to dedicate a video to someone at the beginning of the video, rather than the end, which some people skip.
You've got to remember folks, CGB can see metrics for viewer behaviours. Let's just appreciate that he, unlike some, takes the time to thank those who support personally. I respect your opinions but sometimes there's no need to keep asking for more when what we get is good. It's a free choice to support at the end of the day, sincerest respect to those that do because it supports those like me who watch for free.
@@covertgoblue I'm kind of shocked that so many people are skipping the intro because showing the decklist and how it works is the most important part of the video to me. Love your videos man.
@@12ntim I sill watch even though he sometimes misplays. I like his vibe and he plays fun janky decks. Much like myself I believe he partakes in the devils lettuce which is the cause of a lot of brain farts haha.
Oh wow! He really was playing against HGG? I watched most of that before finally looking at the name. Honestly, Dislike the, um, variety in this meta. Seriously lame.
ive never played cgb. but watching him for awhile now and the level of knowledge and logic he plays with is scary. because, and pay attention, he doesnt play his deck he plays yours. he knows what the worst cast scenario is and he plays against it. and thats why he beat HGG. thats why he beats everyone. cornel u did a study and magic is the most complicated game in the history of mankind.,,,, but cgb navigates his hand and yours at instant speed...... and thats why this video has 100,000 views. .... and thats why hes #1. if he took the princeton IQ test i suspect hed scare us all. and i want to play him because of it. bravo cgb. youre the pinnacle of the most complicated game in human history.. you may not make the news, but i know what youve accomplished
when you mentioned being unable to tell how many plains were in the pile, yeah. I wish there was an option that just like, showed a number on the top of the stack of lands of the same type it'd really help me.
I pulled my first Reconstruct History yesterday and thought "Damn that card has potential". Well obviously I wasn't the first to think that I'm not that arrogant. 😅👌🏻
First game the way your deck played out I (and I feel the opponent did too) would think it was a transmogrify deck. What other red white yorion is there, think thats why they stomped your wall and tried to remove every token you made...
Devastating Mastery's student cost is great against Mono White. Sometimes even later in the game. It often sets up situations where there's no point in them sacrificing their dogs or discarding cards with Seasoned Hallowblade because they'll have to bounce a couple things back to hand. I also feel like the turbo looting red lesson would be good in this deck. It's pretty great at flying through your deck and when you're intentionally dropping stuff in your grave, it will probably summon a lorehold spirit on top. It's one of the better lessons IMO.
Oh my god the drama in that last game! I don't think my heart could handle it. Love the content, but I also kind of rely on it to get me through the mornings, and if it gets too long, I have to run to get to work on time. XD
Sometimes, when I was playing blue white aggro flyers, I ended up scooping instantly when I saw Yorion, because I knew they always had a turn 3 or 4 sweeper.
Just a daily reminder that winota is banned in the SINGLETON format brawl for both historic and STANDARD, but is completely fine to be everywhere in standard ranked.
Given the slow wind-up against agro of the Artifact/Enchantment hate card Mastery, I would probably be tempted to diversify the sweepers, and throw in a couple of Doomskars ( maybe: 3/3 on both).. With the added upside that exiled Doomskar is not susceptible to Steal effects.
CGB is the higher rate mtg content creator of UA-cam literally. When you know the formula, you just need to apply the formula, people that don't know the formula think you are doing something different, but you are just applying the formula.
I made a SWEET Jeskai constructed deck in limited with reconstruct history (due to lack of good drafts) and the deck went surprisingly well. I won 3 matches of 4 and unfortunatley lost two of them due to a.) bad draws and b.) absolutley devestating hand disruption (which devestated my hand and helped him set up a board). I'd be getting things back like rain fire and bury and books while having an elephant on board and continuing to recycle that 3 mana 2/1 that gets you a plains card for 6 mana and I'd just keep triggering elephant and that big guy who does 1 damage to each oponent whenever a card leaves your graveyard and then reconstruct history to get back you know bury in books or explosive welcome or the rainfire (5 mana removal spell) it unfortunatley got wrecked to hand disruption and ridiculous removal and me ending up drawing a shit ton of lands instead of cards I could actually use to stabalize. RIP!
Wait why doesn't sacing the bounty protect the creature? I thought that destroy all nonland permanents each permanent individually, and not like settle the wreckage that targeted a player the the actual creatures directly. If someone could explain that fir me I would appreciate it.
1:25:18 Man, but imagine if they had a main deck Phoenix of Ash because they hate Rogues, it triggers Winota well, and escape buffs the Stonebinder's familiar
Aww yeah! Just ordered an Elspeth on ebay! Going to try and fit it in my human edh deck. I think planeswalkers are cool and want to try and use them more.
Color protection means a permanent cannot be Damaged, Enchanted (or equipped or fortified), Blocked, nor Targeted (DEBT) by spells of a specific color. Devastating Mastery specifies it destroys permanents without targeting them, therefore color protection does not affect it.
CGB going down to 1 life against Winota: "I didn't hear no bell."

What an epic comeback to take #1 again at the end. Holy moley.
Awesome to finally see this video! It's great to see all of your plays so far land you at the top, aggro grind or otherwise!
