- Welcome! Lately I have been feeling like my community/tribe here maybe doesn't truly know me or what I stand for. I am so passionate about offering value, truly helping and encouraging, and being so much more than just another voice in the crowd. I want to be more than just reviews and more than 2 minute tips, I want to share who I am and what I have learned and run with the passion that God has given me. I have been debating how best to do that, and praying about what God has for this platform He has given me and I feel like I want to go a new direction. Today's live is all about my heart, it is a disclaimer about who I am and what I stand for, it is direction and focus for these communities and what I want to make them and an invitation to join me or to part ways if you feel like I no longer represent what you are looking for.

I'm so glad I found your page! This will be my first year homeschooling. I'm pulling my kids out of school for many different reasons like, the common core liberal indoctrination and mandatory vaccines. My kids, are my kids, not the governments. This world is in a spiritual war, good vs bad. God has you in the right spot, for helping families (like myself) trying to leave the public school system.

I think what you are doing is brilliant ❤ I miss your videos however it seems God has opened doors for you and given you an opprotunity to help homeschool families in a way that not many has pursued. I can see myself using your curriculum in the near future 👍☺

Just found your channel a day or two ago choosing homeschool curriculum. I really love this video. It made me feel better about ordering your more than words curriculum since it so aligned with my beliefs. Same for me as well I didn’t have a “grand conversion “ either probably because I grew up with godly parents as well and I just always knew God and was so real to me as long as I can remember.
Yay! Second generation homeschooler! I hope my now-in-college kids will one day homeschool their kids. Stand firm in your faith and never be ashamed of Jesus. You rock, you daughter of the King. I believe God's Word because it's true. It has never failed. Truth is not relative. It does not change because I believe it or don't. I love your strong and fearless and bold stand in God's revealed words to us. He's the author of Truth. I think our North American cultures are in deep trouble, but the darkness makes the light shine brighter.
I absolutely appreciated this! Never watched any of your videos before, I actually thought you were somebody else. You have spoken in a way that only those who choose this blessed but hard path can speak!

Replay! My daughter, 10yrs old, and I were newbies to Gather Round 6 weeks ago! We will finish our last NAB lesson tomorrow! Then after a weeks break we will start Asia! We are lovin' it! Thank you so much for bringing this great thing to us! It has allowed so much more flexibility in our days while still having great piece of mind! Now I will confess.... we are adding a bit more than just math, such as Latin and a few other things, but it is still very much scaled back for us!
I really appreciate you being super up front here with who you are and what your convictions are! I have been wondering who Rachel is! ; ) I knew not all of your beliefs would line up with ours, as we are devote traditionally minded Catholics. But I'm so glad to know where our believes intersect! I started following you last year simply because I was overwhelmed with curriculum. I have 4 kids. Aged 13 to 2!
I found great value in your videos explaining the different details about Math books, and Language Arts books, Science, History and ALL the different subjects. This year has been ther first year we have cherry picked subjects from multiple curriculums, instead of the basic "grade year in a box".
It is going very well! This has been our best Homeschool Year so far! That is all thanks to YOU!! I was able to identify our style and priorities in learning! You brought great clarity into our lives!
I heard a few things about unit studies last summer, but was trying to take things one step at a time. Didn't want an information overload, lol. The culture in America heavily pushes traditional home schooling, in relation to a one subject at a time. But I have already been pondering our future curriculum in home schooling because of the age gap in my children. It works great this year, and maybe next year. That has been because I have clustered many things together since my older 2 are so close. But the curriculum I currently have will not accommodate me teaching children that are 11 years apart. I would have to obtain a whole nother set of books and lessons for the younger children. They will be independently studying from the older children.
I like the concept of us all coming together . It makes me think of that show, " When Calls the Heart", when Miss Elizabeth has all the age groups in that white schoolhouse! 😊
I've been to the new website. I've been trolling over videos where other moms are reviewing Gather Round. Im trying to understand it as much as I can.
Thank you for standing up for God and what you believe! It's hard to do that in a culture where people demand "tolerance" and the oxymoron is that they can't hardly "tolerate" that we believe the word of God!

We LOVE Gathered Round Homeschool curriculum! This way of teaching is what I have always wanted for our days, so it's literally an answer to prayer where the Lord has given us the desires of our hearts while educating His arrows!
I haven't seen the curriculum. Could it be used by a family that teaches secular world view? We currently use the good and the beautiful and it works for us. I wonder if I could use this or is religion to deeply rooted in it?

Im so happy for you. I just found out about your homeschool curriculum gather round, and we had bought the bible workbook from masterbooks, and I found out later that it was made by you. SOOOO COOL. Gather round is amazing! It has changed the dynamic of our homeschool and my kids BEG for it every day!
So agree with you! I used to say I don't have a testimony, that I wished I had a testimony like all the people who say they had this moment that really brought them to Jesus. What really changed my mindset was when someone told me they wished they had the testimony of always being a Christian and not drifting away where you have to come back. That really spoke mountains to me. Now, I know my testimony more clearly and can look at it differently.
On the other side of motherhood, now a grandmom, keep the light of Christ first and you will look back with the peace of God. Life is a blessing in good times and bad. God bless!

Love the one-room schoolhouse method. We use it in Classical Conversations. We homeschooled from first and third grades through graduation. It was good for our whole family.

Good video. I'm glad you are following the call and your passion for the holy spirit because your curriculum looks soo good from what I have seen of the samples. Nice work! I only have 2 kids so the cost of it is probably a no go for me unfortunately, but I am not saying it is not worth it. Good job, I hope maybe in the future maybe the workbook levels can be bought individually digitally or something to make it alittle more affordable.

hey girl. I get the change you are doing. (I also know I am watching this WAY late) but I just wanted to say...YOU were amazing at the curriculum comparison. I hear you saying you were just another voice in the sea of voices, however, that isn't true. YOU were amazing and WAY above the other voices (in my life at least). So I just wanted to say, thank you for all that work over the years and you are so talented and gifted. I am excited for your new (not so new anymore, haha) direction. But don't discount how talented you were/are at what your were....and I am sure what you are beoming :) Blessings. Don't let the haters bring you down. lots of love from me. What do you recommend after language lessons for a 7th grader?
I love to hear your biblical views. I think it would great to teach or walk through a curriculum. I use mainly use tgtb and found a UA-cam veteran that is teaching with some fun games. HISTORY 2/ Math 3 and a marine biology. It is 25 a course and it is available to look back for as long as you are continuing classes in something. Find a subject that you would love to teach 😉 I only watch on UA-cam

Do you speak in tongues? It doesn’t matter what your answer is, I’m honestly just curious? Tongues is something I am currently studying and trying to wrap my brain around

Your testimony is amazing!!!! Knowing God was “real” to you all your life is confirmation to me that we are born knowing Him. We are born into sin, but with the knowledge of Him. Not many people are blessed with the ability to feel Him as they get older. People try to fill the “void of God” with sin as the world teaches us to do.

In scripture it does say, those that truly do not know Christ will in the end times people will consider good, bad and things that are bad considered good. It is the enemy and his lies. They do not know better but, we are here to pray for the blinders to be removed and God to set people free in Christ because there is no freedom without Him.

If you believe what the Bible says, you do not believe in the Trinity. It is nowhere in the Bible. In fact, the Bible speaks completely against it as Christ himself said many times not to worship him but to worship his Father. Love you anyway!
