    Thanks so much for your in-depth video I have as200 Toro old snow thrower that's jammed right up it actually the pull-rope jammed when I was using it and now it's seized. I don't even know didn't break I don't think I don't know what's going on so I'm going to have to figure a way to get it apart if you know anything about those Toro s200 snow throwers how to get out cuz apparently it's riveted to the to the cover or something, anyway I appreciate your detailed video there, I subscribed to your channel cuz anything to do with small engines or anyting that smart ideas around the place to fix things is great to have somebody that's so instructive a detailed like yourself you must have been a teacher at one time okay thanks so much have a great day Larry

    I also showed this video to my neighbor. He had taken his mower into a company "authorized" repair shop for his mower with a broken recoil rope. The shop had drilled out the rivets to remove the recoil unit, Then used cheap screws to hold the recoil unit back in place. The whole unit pulled right out when he pulled the rope. The shop is now scrambling new correct their soddy work. Thanks again.

    Thank you. Got lucky. The cord broke right behind the handle. I wouldn't have been able to tear the whole thing down and put it back together without your great instructions. That's why I subscribed. You da man.

    Very good and precise video. I definitely will be using your knowledge to repair several starters. By watching the video, I will be saving a lot of money, not having to purchase the hole starter housing! Thanks again for doing such a great step by step job!! I will be looking at all your snow blower repair videos!! I wish that you lived closer to me!

    I just fixed my first small engine and I wouldnt have been able to without your video. My kids seeing me handle problems myself and learning to be self sufficient is really important to me.

    That square opening on the "Dash" houses the 110V connection for the Electric Start model. I am still using my MTD even as the snowblower is 25+ years old. I hesitate to use the pull start these days because it bucks back for some reason--must be age--and very annoying, so I use the electric start. I still use the pull start if the blower stalls and I am away from the house. I clear the motor by slowing pulling the start cord out, letting it recoil, and then quickly starting it in the usual manner. Sometimes this helps. I have a video here on doing other maintenance on the unit.

    I'm not nearly as dumb as I use to be. Now, I'm going to fix my Toro CCR 3650 snow blower. It's a bit different but I can get it fixed with what you just taught me. Thank you for this excellent video!

    Mr. FoxBoss, you make it look so darn easy, but what ya need to tell the folks is how the heck to get the rope out of the mechanism when its broken inside and its not just the pig tale. Add about 10 to 15 more minutes struggling to get the full rope out, and then you good to go. I put the new one in while watching the video. Thanks Buddy!!

    lol thank you, I woke up to 7 inches of snow this morning and went to go start my blower and on the first pull the cord snapped, luckily it started but if it would've died while doing it I would have been screwed.

    I like the MTD snow blower, easy to access the engine and carb from the bottom and the carbs are bowl type not the diaphragm style on the toro 200 with difficult covers to remove.

      Sorry I'm color-blind and I only can do wiring if I have a wiring diagram in front of me. Or if I have a snowblower that I can refer to which I do not have at the moment. Good luck

    That USPS POSTAL SERVICE mail bin/tub under your workbench is for Postal use only. You should return it immediately.
    People always bitch about postal fees and this is just one example of why the prices go up. People think it’s ok to steal.

    • @Foxboss9
      @Foxboss9  4 роки тому

      That fricken tub is from 2001 and was damaged during a delivery to the house...USPS Don't want it back... People bitch about things when they are misinformed. People think it's okay to shame publicly, even when they're wrong.

    • @yeraveragejoe
      @yeraveragejoe 4 роки тому

      Foxboss9 Sorry. I will delete my ‘public shaming’.
      I was misinformed about how it is so damaged that It can’t be used for anything postal...yet it clearly looks like it is great for private storage.
      I also misinterpreted the warning on the side of it about ‘not for private use and return to the USPS and maximum fines, etc’

      @@e.fifield9034 Made by MTD but no other information on it one site put it at made in 2000.

      It definitely is a MTD. I have worked on several of these. The last one I worked on was model # 31AE 150-000. It looks similar to the one in the video. The Model Number should be on the face plate above the engine's primer button.

    always check and replace the skid plate behind the auger; easier to push and cleans much better. The steel will scrap and the driveway and cause rust.This one is really far gone.

    Why don't you just burn it instead of cutting it

    • @Foxboss9
      @Foxboss9  8 років тому

      +htcwildfire2 there would be entirely too much melting involved.. The little bit that I heat it up is all that is needed to "sculpt" the end to point. If I burned it apart there would be too much of a "blob" to deal with..
