Theres a popular theory that Lucy Grays little cousin Maude Ivory is most likely Katniss' grandmother from her dads side, as he was the one who use to sing to her and taught her that song, and that the Ha ging Tree song was only known by a few in the covey, so was most likely passed down to Katniss father from there

Wow lol I like that theory. You can tell Katniss is connected to Lucy in some way.. I actually didn’t know the song was only known by covey but I love the connection especially knowing younger snow has heard the song

Lucy Gray is actually supposed to have an Appalachian accent, not a southern one. That’s where District 12 lies and interestingly, Rachel Zegler is from NJ, which isn’t that far off. So it’s at least somewhat authentic.

Lol funny enough I’m from NJ and have never heard of an Appalachian accent. But I did google it and it’s pretty accurate. It makes my think because I know people in Pensilvania with a “country” accent and always wondered why

@@STARISMID It’s really kind of out of nowhere lol cause I’m from NY. Downstate so closer to the typical NYC accent but my school upstate was very rural. I feel like people in these small town places in the region just put on this slight twang to their voice to mimic typical country and it just stuck around through generations.

@@patmcconnell9956 omg exactly! It’s crazy to think how close in proximity you can be to people and the accents be completely different.

The way the weapons look here are more like the are how I envisioned them to look when I read the first Hunger Games book, way before the movies. Crude and makeshift, not chrome and tactical. I love how it's a blend of irony, humor, and poetic justice that it was a girl from District 12 who molded Snow into what he became, and it was another girl from District 12 who would be his undoing. I would like to see another book about the 25th Hunger Game, but done in a way where we have more than one person to root for. Make a lot them more fleshed instead of just a few important characters while the rest are just one-dimensional paper people.

I actually don’t remember how they described the weapons but yeah I’m pretty sure I’m this one they used rifle and in the original like you said chrome (more futuristic) part of me feels like they did it to create this illusion of nostalgia although it is the future

Can I say I loved this prequel. And I was looking at the reviews which weren’t too good but couldn’t figure out why.. I guess the book could be different. But you’re right this kind of poetic Justice is just so great to me and I couldn’t have thought of a better idea. Also yes I feel like the kids in the games have been demonized in order to root for one person but they all have stories and families and are just trying to survive so it would be an amazing perspective

@@STARISMID They don't give any real description of what the weapons look like in great detail, but you're right about what they were going for with the movies.

@@STARISMID The book was great, and I loved this movie, but there's a lot of internal thinking that explains young Snow's attitude in the book a little better in the movies, but Tom Blythe really brought it out, especially when Lucy Gray deserted him.

@@kylewestlake982 omg yes, I legit said I wonder what his outcome would of been if she didn’t leave? Was he planning to off her? Or eventually it would’ve led to that? Or would he have truly changed? He seemed so betrayed and hurt in the forest

I thought Rachel Ziegler was great in this. The hate for her is unjustified.

She’s actually so talented it’s not even funny. And I honestly think the same. I actually think most of the hate came from her playing Snow White… from my research because I had to figure out why
