You have no idea how long I have waited for this album. Even though we all know Dave from Depeche Mode, you can sense that his music with Soulsavers touches his heart and soul the most. I just love how he translates his emotion to us with his voice and words.

I'm really happy that he's finally back again!!! I still think Dave and the Soulsavers should stay together. They found each other so much that no band or singer can touch my soul as much and squeeze my heart as they do! it hurts and hugs at the same time...Come on guys, I need a third album! The day before news of this album leaked, I told my wife, upon showing her Dave's cover of Nothing Else Matters, that I thought Dave should do a covers album in the vein of Martin's Counterfeit records. The next day, I learned of Imposter. Incredible.
Dave sounds amazing and I have to admit I don't know a single one of these songs. I'm so excited to learn about them through Dave and Soulsavers' interpretations before discovering the originals. His voice grows more epic with each passing year: he learns new styles, discovers new sounds inside himself, and most importantly, his growing life experience imprints more meaning in his voice. A thing of beauty. I admire this man so much more than I could put into words.
And of course I look forward to a new DM project, because I hope Dave can put this new mastery of his voice to work for his own songs, and Mr. Gore's. Hopefully they even write more together. Dave has grown so much as a songwriter, and I am very excited to hear what he does next. His praise of Martin's solo instrumental EP was touchingly genuine, and that means a lot to me. That record came out the same day as my baby daughter this year, so it'll always be special.
Sounds great, can't wait to hear it in full. And nice to see Doggen!

I have loved your voice, energy and music since I was a teen many moons ago. I don't know how I missed your solo albums, however, I am really enjoying what I am hearing. Depeche mode are best.
Let's face it, DM albums in recent years have been hit and miss. Gahan's crooning is better paired these days with Soulsavers atmospheric electro-blues ballads than with DM's rockier tunes.
