This one's especially nostalgic for me. My mother actually beat this game back then.
We both reminisce about that game to this day, and she remembers dodging those pesky falling rocks when this track starts. You really do have a knack for bringing some great memories to the surface 😄

I know a lot of people had friends or siblings that played video games with them, but it's rare, or at least it was when we were growing up if your parents also gamed. Mine played video games in the arcades in the 70s and by the time I was born had a 2600 and later a Commodore VIC-20. I didn't game with them so much as I did watch them play games, but still! That's really awesome that your mom beat Life Force! It's not exactly an easy game either! XD Anyway, thank you so much for your comment, friend!
The first time I saw this game I was 13 years old. I lived in Montreal and I went with my friends and their mother to Burlington, Vermont for the day. At the back of a mall, there was this little arcade and it had this game called Life Force.
My friends and I played the hell out of it, but couldn't get past level 2. Then this black guy with an afro got on and got to level 5. Of course, the arcade version of the game has the asteroid level and this music on level 4, not level 2 like on the NES.
I remember hearing this music while watching the guy play the game. I had the tune stuck in my head for months.
Later, when the NES version came out, I bought it immediately and was surprised that they rearranged the levels.
A couple months later, I went back to Burlington with my parents. We went to that mall and I was so excited to play Life Force again, but it was gone. One of the most disappointing days of my young life.
I never did find it in an arcade ever again.

I didn't get much into Screwattack way back when but your stuff always stood out to me. When you quit I got a hold of all your music tracks from the net and they've been on my computer ever since. From there they travelled to my various mp3 players over the years and finally on my phone at the present time. I hope you're well and thanks for all the music.
It means the world to hear how people remember my remixes from so long ago. In the grand scheme of things, I wasn't on ScrewAttack for very long at all. So glad you have such fond memories of my work, dude! It means a lot!

You can't fool me, DJ Axis. I have the original remix of this game downloaded directly from Screwattack(yep, with that robot voice intro) and can confirm this is an incomplete version. Original one is 14 minutes long, hope you can upload the entire remix, this is amazing but the other one is godlike.
The original version of this remix was actually a collaboration between myself and Tansunn (another musician on ScrewAttack.) I don't own any rights to Tansunn's portion of the original version, which is why this isn't 14 minutes. I'm glad you enjoy my and Tansunn's music! I hope this clears up any confusion.
This is amazing! I'd love to hear your rendition of the Boss Theme (Poison of Snake); would it be as foreboding as this is upbeat? Also, can someone use remix this for a project as long as they credit you? Thanks!
Unfortunately, the last music I ever worked on was back in 2010. Much as I'd like to promise to work on more remixes, I'm uncertain if it'll ever happen given the state of my life. To answer your questions though, if I were to remix Poison of Snake, I'd keep it foreboding and downtempo, like I'd definitely want to preserve the tension that the original version had.
Also, feel free to use any of these remixes in your project. It's been so long since I made these, I'm just glad people still love and appreciate my work. Credit is all I'd ask, but yeah, I don't mind any of my music being used for projects. Thanks!

I can, yes. I actually had a synthwave-style remix of a Mega Man 3 song that I was working on a while back. Unfortunately, I had a hard drive randomly die on me and I forgot to back it up. 😢

There was, but the other portion wasn't made by me. The other half of the Salamander medley was made by Tansunn. I'm not sure if he has his portion available online though.
