Brooo i cant get over the storyline on this album. I just wanna see how much everyone else feels about it. This album exploring obsession and the genuine human feelings of wanting love, and even lying to yourself to feel okay. They give us a character that is rash and impulsive. Whenever he's talking on the hotline the production just becomes so heavenly. It's like the more like heaven it sounds, the worse his mental state is Chasing Fantasies is so perfect, it gives me goosebumps when run straight through from R U Still There. This song is so sad and relatable ... And then you remember who the character is that is saying this. Him going through all of this and still saying "I just want you next to me." it's so gross and sobering After hearing the last song of the album, and some of the songs leading up to it, it really puts the first half of the album into context. Best of 2024 easily.
I discovered Blk Odyssy last year mid July and they easily became by top artist for 2023 on Spotify and they might be this year too😅. Honestly they even inspired me to be more expressive of my own diverse music taste and my own music. I can definitely say that they inspired my journey as a musician.
So they’re a band? Super dope music , first album I’ve heard from them, I was on Apple Music and chasing fantasies popped up , I was like this is pretty dope , checked the album out and wow they’re shits super dope asf, I hear a lot of influences that I love , blonde (frank ocean) , kid cudi, Andre 3k , Anderson pakk, etc I’m excited to check out more
