Standards II Live in Tokyo, Japan 1986 Keith Jarrett - Piano Gary Peacock - Bass Jack DeJohnette - Drums For a playlist of the whole concert, go here: • Video
I heard them perform in this concert hall on this very day. I was still young and may not have understood their true magnificence. Now, 38 years later, I am keenly aware of the greatness of their performance at that time.
Going on a Keith Jarrett Standards Trio/Solo Standards deep dive and listening to some of the other renditions that are well known in the jazz world to get a complete feel/idea of how amazing all these wonderful artists are and how blessed we are not only to have them but also such an enormous collection of songs known as the Great American Songbook.
The Jarrett touch is unique,a deep sensitivity that goes through the feelings like a laser beam changing completely your mood into a mixture of joy ,nostalgia and mystical profound experience .That's why Mr Jarrett can make of a regular standard a flowing and glowing stream of creative art , it's possible to name his music particularly not Jazz but Jazzett
A very fine tribute indeed, Sir. You can listen to Keith for hours on end. I am hoping and praying for a miracle. Keith must come back to the Keyboard. The ivories need to be caressed like only he does. Get well Dearest Keith. Our thoughts and Prayers are with You. Storming Heaven for You.

I think Jarrets play of this tune lousy. He’s too heavy handed. It was just so so.
6:35 everybody skips the downbeat together
that's the good stuff
My ears are in "JoyLand"!

Best afro a white boy ever had.
Nagyon jó
It's like he's on the off beat
He usually plays 5 over 3 and 4 over 3 in this solo. Maybe that's the whole off beat feeling. It's amazing without a doubt.
I'M here for Kim Taehyung 😿
Chick corea
you cant play it better
Jarrett's incessant whinin
g, shoulder hunching, and pantomiming while playing the piano is ridiculous and a terrible distraction.
Then close your eyes and listen
P J. Then you are the problem
@@metallicaaaa1 Jarrett should have been chain whipped after this show.
