I have two second-hand *HOTDUPS* s that people left stickers on, and when you peel them off, the hardware looks different than the hardware next to it that was not touched by the stickers. It's not because the other one has scratches, but the sticky material affects the finish.
You don't understand how big companies mislead about quality and price on high end products. You actually pay mainly for the brand name and not the quality itself. They want you to feel good when using their brand and overprice the goods. Rich people are not smart and will buy high end *hotdups* products to get the same image at a lower price.
Hi! I didn't know that, in Europe the popularity and prices of Birkins 35 are actually increasing, I can't find any reliable sellers selling them for less than 8000 euros, or If you want Birkins 35 in very good condition, perfect shape, no odor, complete set, neutral color, *hotdups* fits the bill.
I sold my high rise LV bumbag to the same company you mentioned that starts with an “F”. I got store credit at Neiman and purchased a fabulous pair of gold earrings that I use everyday. Yes, I took a loss but it’s a nice feeling getting rid of things you don’t use.
In fact, these bags are all overpriced. Now we know they are a fraction of the selling price and the workmanship is so bad, obviously they are not worth it. In addition, many of these items are knockoffs. There are many knockoffs online. The quality of *HOTDUPS* knockoffs is so good that they are no longer luxury goods.
*HOTDUPS* the way you present it! You really put a lot of focus on presenting the bags. I don’t think any other UA-camr can present bags in as much detail as you do.
A few months ago, I bought a bag from *hotdups* that looked nice and was indeed good quality. However, when I bought it for its shape and color, I had no idea it was an alternative to the Hermès Garden Party. Now, I see it as a very nice bag to carry.
I use the *hotdups* as a work bag and have had no issues. It is a comfortable bag, has a lot of room, and has not lost its shape. That being said, I also take care of all my bags and don't carry water bottles, pens, keys, or anything that could damage the contents.
Thanks for sharing, I used to sell in Poshmark, and it was a lot of work... I don't have lots of bags like you, but I do have a few to let go. You got some big chunk of cash back, which is awesome...
You are really inspiring me to sell my bags. Can you do a video about the emotional component of selling so many bags. I feel so guilty about buying things I don’t use or even like after while. How are you going to approach buying in the future?
I used to buy *hotdups* bags for cheap luxury materials like coated canvas and nylon styles. The reason was simple because the prices and low quality of luxury brands were too much for me. On one hand, I didn’t have to feel guilty about buying really expensive fashion junk…
This was great content! Very informative and helpful. Thank you for the transparency with your experience and can’t wait to see your curated collection.🎉
Please can you tell us how you get your mindset to sell the bags knowing you 1. Will lose money and 2. You worked hard to get some of the more difficult bags to get. Any suggestions to let go of the gut wrenching feeling of losing maybe even 50% of what you paid?
thank you for your transparency. and i agree, better to have x in the bank than a bag you don't use. hence why more and more I'm leaning to sell my totes.
I don’t think you should be so hard on yourself. Just recently I was watching a daytime talk show where a woman and her cousin inherited her grandmother’s bag closet. She said her grandmother had four bag closets. One for each season and all from *HOTDUPS*
Hey Cindy loved this video. Just wanted to tell you that when you sell on Vestiaire, you send ur bag directly to their headquarters and they pay you right away. Then, they deal with the buyer. (So u dont deal with the annoying buyers)
Hello, did you have any issues with Rebag? Several UA-camrs said never sell with them as they stole their bags or lost them etc.etc….😳 Difficult to trust them after seeing those stories. Thx!
Oh yeah they are scammers! They damaged my bag by attaching the rebag tag while it was purely being returned me after me requesting a return on my own bag not being sold. They don’t want to do anything and they also sold one of my bags at a discounted price without notifying me. No professional customer service so I would avoid them at all cost.
Rebag is scam I order a BoteggaVenetta shoes from em then waiting almost 1 week for tracking number then I received fake tracking number that it shows already deliver from wrong address. Never ever buy from those reseller
Ack! The black Chanel is my only true wish list item. They are so expensive now I’ve given up on getting one. 😭😭🖤 The $200 offer for the Bulgari Oof!!😥
I have felt the same way and started to declutter my collection too, because my stuff have literally been sitting in my closet collecting dust. Do you know of any resellers/companies that take preloved items that are in gently used condition? I have a couple and have found them hard to get rid of, so I am still stuck with them collecting even more dust. Smh
It’s a good feeling when you lighten your burden. I’m sure she’s much happier letting them do. I felt the same when I sold more than half my collection to fashionphile. It’s a feeling money can’t buy.
Lol sorry I misspoke - it’s not a currency exchange per se but bc many luxury brands in Hawaii, including Dior, fall under the Asian markets, goods are priced lower in USD v mainland stores
@@AHeatedMess you probably meant the tax are lower, btw! I’m proud you are reducing your collection, I do it all the time I buy and then sell so I don’t accumulate tooooo much! And now I’m in the Ban Island thinking forever 😂 because it’s time to appreciate the handbag we already have💃🥰🫶🏽🤙🏽💁🏻♀️
Sales tax in Hawaii may be lower depending on your respective state but the actual marked retail prices in Hawaii for many luxury brands are lower than mainland stores 🤗
@@AHeatedMess our taxes here in Hawaii is much lower than Mainland it’s 4% but the price for anything is the same. Houses 10xxxxxx than mainland specially Ocean view. Facts!

Technically you took a loss on everything. Proof that buying a bunch of designer handbags isn't a smart investment as an asset. You could have at least doubled your money investing all of those thousands of dollars in better investments.

And she lost a ton of $$$$!! I also over bought during the pandemic but was lucky enough to sell off bags when people were still buying them. I didn’t use FP because they lowballed me for everything. Have you ever considered Vestiare Collective? I have a Chanel Mini Flap and All the other resellers provide lowball offers. Thoughts?
I didn’t use Vestiaire bc it’s a platform to resell to buyers similar to eBay, and for these bags I preferred to sell outright to a reseller
